Brilliant as ever. I am thinking those are the MTH 20th Century cars? Do you have a feeling for the radius they'd be reliable at with the close coupling you are sporting there? Also really like the tender to Baggage/RPO distance so much more realistic than others I see.
@warrenfrost6033
@warrenfrost6033 Год назад
Thank you! With the close coupling you see here, 48" radius is about the minimum. And, yes, those are MTH cars. I like them as well as some of my high-end brass cars.
@jonnyspeed
@jonnyspeed 11 месяцев назад
@@warrenfrost6033 That explains why they look so realistic. I don't thing many people understand just how broad of a radius is required to get really realistic looking passenger trains
@warrenfrost6033
@warrenfrost6033 11 месяцев назад
The close coupling is very important for passenger trains to look convincing. I don't see it very often, however.@@jonnyspeed

I’ve got ask where’d he get the 4-8-4 Niagara’s?
@warrenfrost6033
@warrenfrost6033 11 месяцев назад
Niagara 5500 is a Key brass import. The prototype was an experiment with a new type of steam distribution to the cylinders, hence the sparse appearance of the usual valve gear.

@walterhammond290 11 месяцев назад

@warrenfrost6033

5500 is actually the last built Niagara and was equipped with experimental Franklin cam poppet valves. These valves are internal and replace the outside valve gear. Hence, the bare look.
