Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways
In this video we are at our friends at The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for their vintage trains day during their Blue timetable operations.
The locos operating during our visit were The Railway's Ivatt 2-6-2 tank 41241 Mickey Mouse & LNWR Webb Coal tank 1054 which since the last time we saw her is official now under The Bahamas Locomotive Society's full ownership control after the official handover from The National Trust to The Society at Crewe Heritage Centre back in early July.
We start at Haworth MPD the railway's main headquarters as we see 41241 & 1054 being prepared for work by the railway's shed staff before we see the Ivatt move off shed on the way to Oxenhope to pick up his train to form the 1st steam hauled service of the day.
We catch up with 41241 at Damens Station the only request stop on the line as we see 41241 pass by on his 1st southbound run of the day.
A short while later we see both steamers on the 1 in 58 grade out of Keighley.
Our last shot of 41241 is climbing up the bank with his 2nd southbound run of the day.
We next see 1054 up the bank on her 1st southbound run of the day with the vintage stock which within the consist is the original old gentlemen's saloon made famous in The Railway Children film of 1970.
The climb up the bank was not a success as you will despite a promising start from the station stalled on the curve on the bank however she recovered with a great restart.
We next catch up with her at the viewing gallery south of Haworth as she heads towards Oxenhope.
We end at Keighley as we see 1054 round the station before seeing her off with her last train of the day to Oxenhope.
