In the 1st of a few videos we make our long anticipated return to our friends at The North Norfolk Railway after a year out caz of Covid-19.
Now we are well & truly back doing what we love doing seeing steam in action along The North Norfolk Coast.
The 1st video we have a day with the flagship loco owned by the railway but under care of Friends of Black Prince ex BR Standard class 9f 2-10-0 92203 Black Prince operating during the early bank holiday Monday of our visit.
We have our 1st ride behind 92203 Black Prince since November 2019 when we were invited guest to The Friends of Black Prince members weekend trains.
We also feature him from the lineside with 2 of the shots being reruns from the very 1st filmings of 92203 back in October 2017 now that we have better camcorder technology.
It was great to get aquianted again with such a magnificent machine after 3 years after not seeing him operating in 2020 & 2021.
This video is in tribute to Avril Shepherd the widow to the man who saved 92203 Black Prince from going to the scrapheap in 1967 the late wildlife & railway artist David Shepherd who sadly passed away the day before this filming took place.
Our deepest thoughts & condolences goes out to her family & friends.
