Although Phil Robertson has had his share of fame and fortune with a multi-million-dollar duck call business and successful reality TV show on A&E, the Duck Commander owner and founder touts the benefits of a quiet life where one minds their own business and works diligently.
Robertson recommends following Apostle Paul’s instructions to the Thessalonians. He says you should “make it your ambition to live a quiet life and mind your own business. Work hard with your hands doing something that is good so that your life will win the respect of outsiders, and here is the key little phrase, ‘so that you won’t be dependent on anyone.’”
These days he finds the quiet life through time spent in the woods, but the renowned duck call maker confesses that he didn’t always live the quiet life. In fact, there was a time when he admits that he and his friends were “just heathens.”
But Robertson experienced a life-changing conversion to Christianity and credits his success as a business owner, husband, and father to his faith in Jesus Christ. In fact, his faith plays a huge role in every decision he makes.
