Does it count as a debut if I've already made two AMVs before?
I have a lot of feelings about Trigun Stampede, mostly positive. I'm a huge fan of Trigun 98, and so I was apprehensive about Trigun Stampede but they made all the right moves, brought Johnny Yong Bosch back, etc. I feel good about it.
This was originally just going to be about Wolfwood and his deals with The Eye of Michael. But then I realized that I liked the idea of Vash being in there too much, because I feel like he would make any deal with anyone he could in order to save people. Meryl is really the only one who actually swapped places with someone, in the sense that she is on her way to becoming the mentor Roberto was for her, so she had to go in too. It all came together really naturally and I'm proud of it.
The version of "Running Up That Hill" isn't the Kate Bush version, but a cover by Lo Spirit. It felt right to use a cover of Running Up That Hill because Stampede feels like a cover of Trigun. Phoenyx and I were once in an Uber when the Uber driver had this on his playlist. And he skipped it! But we both recognized what it was and immediately went looking for it. We both loved it.
I want to make more videos like this, little music videos more than bigger gaming videos. Stuff has happened, stuff is still happening. Maybe I'll make a video about the stuff later; right now I'm too sad. If I were to sit down in front of my PC and stream Resident Evil or whatever right now, it would feel disingenuous. Fake. For now, I just want to make things. I'll come back to the rest of it later.
