The sheer honesty and transparency in your information you just shared has made me a customer. I have never tried an Exodus camera, but I respect this kind of honesty and explanation. Buying a few today.
Can you talk about the click that you sometimes hear in a camera? I read somewhere that it is the night filter transferring or rolling over whether its from day to night photos and vice versa. This is one of a few reasons why I hang em high.
That's correct - it happens whenever it transitions from day to night pictures or night to day pictures. Hanging them high can certainly help with that.
The exact cause is from the IR filter dropping or lifting. This happens in all single lens trail cameras. In quality cameras it should only happen twice per 24 hour period....once at dawn and once at dusk. The only way to not have an IR filter on a black flash camera is to have a 2 lens system, one dedicated for day and one dedicated for night. We have some additional content on this topic on both our RU-vid channel and also our website blog.
happens all the time, you get them once and they know where it is and either not come back or go around. Once i get a pic of a shooter, I pull the cam.
Yep it happens! One thing that will help you is to place your camera about 8-10 feet high and angle it down. Another thing to consider is to spray scent killer on the camera each time you place or check the camera. One more tip, if you have to walk in 2-3 feet tall foliage in the woods to go back and forth to the camera always wear knee high rubber boots that have NEVER BEEN USED anywhere but in the woods and only put them on once you exit the vehicle. I have actually used a cheap pair of rain suit pants to check mine and have never had a deer to ever notice a camera. I know this sounds like a lot of trouble but if you want to see the best bucks on your property you have to put yourself in the deers shoe. Once they are on to you the odds of a shooter buck returning to that area are pretty slim.
This explains why my browning camera has a ‘fake’ looking picture when I set it on the highest setting. I turn it down from the highest megapixel and the quality is better.
Thank you for sharing this information with us. Found you guys through Jason Knepp. Looks like a great camera line. I have one that I plan to put out to use mid August
I personally do not have any experience with that brand or other dedicated viewers so I can't say for sure. We will only use certified apple products with an authentic apple application with our phones, tablets, etc. Just about everything we have used over the last 5 years that was not an official product has caused issues.
just pulled my disk on two treks I just purchased..great quality and to boot I got a couple bucks that I thought were killed this past season... pumped about the seed for next year... saving up for a couple more..also tell Chad we are pumped for the 13th to do the Whitetail Cribs show...have fun in Harrisburg, Peace...
Ok!! Ok!! I'm sold, could you please make more cameras!??? Everytime i work overtime, and plan to buy one, SOLD OUT!! ??? Market strategy, or you just can't make enough!!??
I’ve had a lot of problems with sd cards shitting the bed or causing a lot of problems n I’ve never even considered that it could be my card reader. Thanks guys!!
Exodus Trail Cameras another thing I recently found out and I may be a little dumb for not knowing but I read that if you change cards while the camera is on I guess that’ll mess things up too
It could have a negative impact, but it's dependent on the time of year, the hunting pressure in the area, and some additional factors. If it's possible, it's ideal to keep them out of sight.
@@ExodusOutdoorGear you could of answered this as a no but you didn't. And yes I have seen big bucks never to come back again after they spot a camera. The honesty factor from the Exodus guys is really starting build my trust in their company. I'm currently look at their line of cameras as we speak.
Thanks for info. I'm old and low tech, i didn't evolve with the times. I always get lost in the trail camera marketing. Your info and warranty makes me want to get a couple Exodus cams. What model would you suggest for low to mid grade budget? I hunt private ground where theft is possible but not likely. Looking for rely ability. Simplicity does matter.
