Nice to know. thanks . I wanted to put more stuff in on her - like how she helped coach with the Cavs but could not get any film on it so I cut it out. but John Lucas had a lot of nice things to say about her as a coach. Just really detailed - explains and teaches well.
@@back2sportsYou are always welcomed bro. Btw here is question or thought for you. What has happened to your girl Diamond Miller of the MN Lynx her development has seem to stall post injury. Brigette Carlton has beaten her out as a productive starter also when Carlton is not available its Dorka J who gets the minutes. Personally I don’t think the pick was a failure but more of her game that needed development especially on the defensive side. She actually said during her first yr at the Lynx that she was never required to play D in college. Now she has to do it all. I thought her development would be faster. What’s your view on her Diamond Miller’s seemingly stalled development.
Great video. CD/Geno all day. Have so many UConn alumni in my family but I have a nephew practicing with the girls team at Temple this coming year like his dad did at UCONN after both suffered injuries in high school. Just hope he scores me some tickets to watch UConn when they play 🤷🏻♀️ Won’t mention who his younger brother is at 6’6” and 14 who has caught a lot of attention. A sweetheart and my godson. These next 4 years will be interesting. Hopefully no injuries. Wish I had a niece though ❤ Would have been cool to see her ball.
Kamilla Cardoso and Aliyah Boston were developed into the players they are now due to Coach Lisa. She is an excellent bigs coach and has great eye for talent
I think the “Hatfield & McCoys”comparison is off base. I think there’s a lot of respect….at least in SC’s side. SC and the Gamecock Faithful know the UConn legacy and recognize that UConn is the standard in women’s NCAA basketball. SC respects that. I can’t speak for UConn and how its fan base feels about SC. My hope is there’s mutual respect. Based on the continued success of both programs, it should come as no surprise that Geno snd Dawn’s assistant coaches are exceptional!
I love this video but you got it wrong it’s not Lisa Boyer bringing the recruits it’s jollette law . People forget she was pt summits recruiter forever and when she came to South Carolina after Pat passed South Carolina took off ❤
have always been a fan of assistants owning the same record as the head coach … they do equal work … they ride or dole with their head coaches … Geno is till best there is out there over time
Thanks for this video. As a UVA fan, I think about Debbie Ryan's influence on both Geno and Dawn, since Geno was an assistant under Debbie, and Dawn played for her. Maybe sometime you could do a video about this.
I don't think UConn and SC are the Hatfields and McCoys. Now old school Tenn vs UConn?? THAT'S the Hatfields and McCoys😂. I've always liked CD I'm sure that she's had plenty of chances to leave over the years. But like she said she's happy so why leave? And I couldn't agree more. I didn't know much about Coach Boyer until she coached with my girl Dawn but whatever they are doing its working because they are on top of the women's college basketball world right now. They accomplished something not even my G.O.A.T coach the late SUPER GREAT Pat Summitt never did and that was beat UConn for the National Championship. That was like seeing The Undertaker lose at Wrestlemania 😂. Great content, cheers!!
Great video. I definitely see the similarities. I think Bob Starkey and Kim have the beginning of that sort of relationship; it’s a shame they didn’t connect until LSU.
thanks. - did one LSU last year which was more focused on Gary Redius - but did give Starkey some mentions. I still remember Starkey loses his mind last year at Johnson after a defensive break down. Mulkey says he is adding years to her coaching life by taking some of the pressure off of her.
Five-star recruits go to Connecticut or South Carolina to have the best chance of winning a national title, because they know there will be plenty of other five-star recruits. Whether their actual games develop the way they could is questionable.
@@yslcologneconnoisseur7473 no one was talking about titles. Just giving assistant coaches their props. You with your inferiority complex were the one who is talking about Geno being salty about SC success when he’s not even the subject of the video. If both teams never win another title (highly unlikely) who will history remember as the best program? 🤔🤔🤔
@@bennybenson5 South Carolina is going to repeat this year, so the UConn fans will have another reason to be in your feelings while also continuing to live in the past.
