Finally someone noticed Neelambari for her true nature and not what the director wanted to project in people's mind. Even first I hated her but then realized that she is the powerhouse and without her Padayappa is nothing. The truth and the fact is that in this entire film, he loved her because she is the only person stood up to him and challenged him in every possible way. Vice-versa, Padayappa is the only man dared to look into Neelambari's eyes and can say that she is wrong, because even when her family loved her they feared her, and she wanted someone who can see the real nature of her behind that fearless wall and this is why she fell in love with him rather than being obsessed with him. Even when she came to kill him, he protected her instead and confessed with his action that he always loved her without mentioning it. Padayappa is an introvert and Neelambari is an extrovert, they make the best pair and as for Vasundara, she is an introvert and submissive lady. Padayappa is a total misogynist. No one can ever match up to Neelambari and her bossy behaviour and she is the best❤ I do love all the actors but the way Ramya ma'am has shown her versatility in every film including this, is the proof that she can do better characters if only she never gave up on being a lead... she would have just surpassed every current actresses' and be a true female superstar of south. Even now no one can match her acting to the neutral character of Sivagami in bahubali. The sivagami role required a powerful aura and Ramya ma'am provided that with her top-notch acting skills, even that sivagami role had many potentials in the bahubali film and I feel they didn't use her properly. Ps. Shakeel, please do a film review of Bahubali 1&2, especially Rana Daggubati's Bhalladeva character (he is also a gem and misunderstood like neelambari).

It will be better that we don't encourage the narcissistic behavior in girls in the name of empowering them

Ok hear me out isnt Neelambari from Padayappa kinda similar to Vasundhara from VIP 2, like both of them are smart, girlboss, and slay kind of characters, but neelambari is fully evil in the movie but Vasundhara from VIP 2 sort of becomes "good" at the end after the flood scenes. Like VIP 2 painted their main antagonist ( a smart classy woman ) with more humanity than Padayappa.

Shakeel, i need your review for the movie 'Andha 7 Natkal'. There are many movies in this same concept too. Where the girl accept the husband as there's no way out. Potrays divorce from abusive, having extra marital affair or forced marriage as a sin. Also movies like Minnale, where the hero will lie alot to the heroine to make her fall for her. Then when the truth comes out, somehow the heroine will accept him in the name of love. How can be the fake things become the foundation for love? N how the gorls able to accept the person who will lie on anything to get what he wants. Can she trust him again throughout her life? This think screws me up all the time.
