just a clarification. its better to be in "can certainly hold a note" than it is to be in "that tone." like i said, it was initially reserved for people like chorong, kim lip, and joy ... just a tier for my personal faves, but they werent in here, so i just made it a tier for people who werent that bad. and i wasnt gonna re-edit the whole tierlist. yall mad!!
I personally just love the fact that she can harmonize so easily with anyone. She has a great sense of pitch and musicality in general. Also a decent songwriter. Her singing technique, errnnmm. But everything else is very impressive
I mean, she is the only one that can actually sing. As for the rest, I actually SinB and Umji can have their moments more than poor Eunha who always seems to be given parts where she is screaming like her life depends on it. And whoever thought signing Yerin as a solo artist needs to take a step back before they tank their agency. If Yuju can barely sell as a soloist with THAT VOICE (!!), then why on gods green earth would you think any of the other members would do better as a soloist. I really hope that once they have explored during their own things, they decide to get back together/join Viviz. Viviz biggest problem is that with the level of vocals and rapping they have, the songs they can perform are realllllly limited. They desperately need Yuju to shake things up vocally, Yerin to help anchor the group, and Sowon as their variety queen.
@@killbethyMy good sis Yerin is such a good dancer but she obviously can't hold a note even if her life depends on it. I do see her as a soloist material but i think sing/rap is more of a direction that she should've gone to.
@TheLurkingDerm "if Yuju can barely sell as a soloist with THAT VOICE" that's right, the matter not depends on voice only, although Yerin's voice is pretty(yet she's not a great vocalist, yes) and her comeback was amazing. But yeah, making her a soloist is definitely a choice, maybe because she's a gfriend member and they thought like "why not?"
@@Likelyfairy so true they also had joy starting the bridge for all the reve festival 2019 title tracks for a reason!! umpah umpah's bridge is so magical bc her like ✨
should've added a "that tone /neg" section for the girlies that can (kinda)sing, but have terrible tones. way too many idols belong in that category i fear.
bro Liz is definitely god vocals like have you heard how she hit that note when she sang next level just casually in a live hitting them high notes without straining, she's definitely god vocals
jokes aside tho, KARD is a very vocally talented and stable gorup for live performances!! I got to see them live in DC and they delivereddd Jeon So-min can SING VERY WELL, tbh better than a lot of 4th gen vocalists. I feel like she deserved to be in 'that tone', if not good vocals. she's got good musicality and range too. Happy to see Yuju appreciation too EDIT: my girl Moonbyul has got 114 song credits so kicking her outta the studio aint doing anybody justice lmao
@@filipecerqueira1083 Girl it's a biased ranking. Your technical shit don't work here. Honestly Wonyoung is great. She has a very pretty tone, knows how to utilize it and is the most artistic and passionate with her singing, always trying to make everything even more catchy to the public. Not just because Liz is better with technique she is everyone's favourite. And same with Yujin, even I agree that her tone isn't anything that vibrant. If you want actual objective ranking then you ain't getting it here because it's literally in the title that it's biased. The person priotizes tone over singing and you can't change that. Go and make your own objective ranking if you can't take that. And honestly we should just drop these techniques bs because at the end of the day as long as they don't sound like a dying goat we really don't care. Maybe you do, but for me these just a little extra for people who are vocal enthusiasts but it shouldn't necessarily be taken into account and be made as that big of a deal. These vocal tiers are just another source of toxicity wherein people degrade other artists just because they can't " support ". And in some cases someone praising someone's vocal will always go down the annoying vocal tier way and make pointless arguments in the comments.
@@Vyro-g12 girl wth, what in the bible is this 😭, i never Said won couldnt sing and i was talking abt yunjin, and if this was about tones id give won that tier but She didnt write that on the title hun, this is abt vocals not tones ☺️, and even if its biased i have ears, u dont need to get technical to know yunjin is a better vocalist but that doesnt Turn won into a dying duck:)
I thought I was the only one who didn't like jihyos voice... Like the way she pronounces certain word while singing?? Her tone.. Her everything... I know a bit about singing since I was in choir so she's certainly good but I just can't. Her songs for her recent release were good though. Vocals only sounded best on Closer, and pretty good on nightmare. Killing me good was full of everything I dislike about her voice. Why was she shouting most of the time?
Eunchae can actually hold a note. I realised she's actually more of a alto quality. Maybe not on par with Yuqi, but her she definitely has deeper and huskier tone than usual bright kpop voice
Me with most of loona songs unfortunately (i'm sorry don't hurt me-) it sucks bc they have good rnb sounds but I just can't get into them. I want to love butterfly so bad, it's totally my style musically but once it hits the chorus I gotta turn it off...
it took me a long time to figure out who was supposed to be the main vocalists in twice. like i didnt notice their vocals for years. i thought twice songs werent really meant to be “impressive” and they were just going for something else.
I'm a Once and "I can be the fourth best vocalist in TWICE" got me dying 💀💀 But I'd argue Jihyo got the vocal slayage when she's not shouting like the R&B sound but she does that every 2 years so idk
