Buono Moussa & Marion. Moussa your Italian was perfect in this video. Cake looked amazing in the end. Well worth the effort. Just like making beer but with a few extra ingredients 😂 Thanks for taking the time to show us the process. Appreciated.
@@quantumhomeimprovements Again well done we will catch up soon. Maybe over Christmas break. I will respond to your message in the next couple of days. Been crazy at work with the Christmas rush and didn’t want to commit to a date and let you down if the family couldn’t make it. I am off work for 3 weeks now so we should be able to tee something up.
Whenever you see a gifted person you only see the public glories, never the private sacrifices to reach them. Your enthusiasm will inspire others to move forward with actions that bring rewarding achievements. Thank you. Ecclesiastes 3:13 And when we eat and drink and find happiness in all our achievements, this is a gift from God.
This helped me out a lot ,I grew up in Philadelphia and grew up on Italian rum cakes this is the easiest recipe to follow the only thing different the bakery I use to go to add lemon and almond extract and orange extract to the syrup it’s amazing
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it. I have heard of people using lemon rind for the sponge but not in the syrup. I might try it. Which one do you recommend, or do you put all three in?
@@quantumhomeimprovements the bakery that makes my favorite is called Isgro pastries they use almond extract and orange they also use cannoli filling in one of the layers and crema pasticerra in the second layer
That's great Elizabeth, I am keen to know how you go and if this video was helpful! I have the ingredients in the descriptions but I can email you the full recipe if you email me on moussa@quantumhomeimprovements.com.au Thanks
Thank you for sharing, can you please tell me what size pan did you use. I would love to make this delicious look cake. Regards from Perth Western Australia
Thank you for that. I have pretty steady hands, but I know people can struggle with this part! If you choose to make this cake please let me know how you go! I have had great feedback from people I know who have tried it and love the taste!
😆 🤣 😂 that's funny! It's a beautiful cake, that's for sure! Thickened cream is a popular cream in Australia and sold in most grocery stores, which I believe Americans call it heavy cream. Pure cream is slightly different, which contains around 35% fat. I hope this helps.
Sorry for my late reply, Tony. I was away on a course and didn't get to use my phone much! To answer your question, I have never done it, but I have thought about it. The trick I think would be to balance the taste with the custard while not changing the consistency! One thing for sure is that you have inspired me to give it a go! Cheers
