Productivity for language learners and polyglots is fascinating to me! There are so many ways we can go about structuring, organising, and using our time effectively that can have a big impact on not just what we achieve but how happy we are along the way. Today we talk about a great tip that's really helped me manage my time and stay sane while building my new habits!

Your timing is wonderful. I JUST finished setting up a daily routine for myself with this type of tier system in mind. There's stuff I need to do daily, it's a must, otherwise I'll slow down my progress. Others I've set it it up so that I can do it every other day to avoid burn out. While others I try to aim for 3 times a week but it's not dire. After creating the checklist a few weeks ago I've adjusted to reach it's current format. Some things I've removed or added. Currently I've settled on one that allows me to just "work down the line" so that I don't finish a task and then think "what's next?" I've experimented with it enough to know what provides enough momentum to keep me engaged so that I move on to the next task. Having it set up in a specific order that I can do it in I've given myself a daily workflow. Also I have a weekly checklist that gives me an overview of what activities I am and am not putting my time into. I find it super helpful to have this weekly checklist because then I can see where I've been slacking.

I totally agree with and appreciate these ideas. My system is to have a different language for each week (that way I can fully immerse or shift my brain to one language). But as for the days themselves, it is usually just what I feel like doing at that time. I keep telling myself I need to have a more structured day-by-day plan. I think that will help me avoid the organized chaos. Thanks!

Great tip If we know what works best for us and use a learning routine, suitable for our lives, it's much easier to keep using it (compared to routines that aren't working well with the other things we have to do)

Hi Robin. I found you channel over the weekend and have binged so many of your videos. I absolutely love your content and am looking forward to putting many of your tips into practice as I learn Welsh. Thank you so much :)

My German prof had us do one lesson per week. Textbook content was Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday were speaking what we covered the day before and working on pronunciation. Friday was the quiz. 🤔Maybe I’m trying to cover too much in a week.

你这是一个很不错的想法。我们的时间和精力都是有限的,在一天内把所有的事情都做好不一定是高效的方法,也不一定可能。

this is very true, you can get burnt out quickly and lose your motivation, better little continuously than a lot in a short amount of time

I try to listen to the lanuages I know daily at a minimum. Just for fun and a sort of mental exercise I will make up conversations where I use all the languages at random just to sharpen my response time between them, it may sound dumb but it works for me.

Good video. I do jumble up languages I'm learning sometimes! Which is awkward because one I need to use daily. So I have to go slowly.

Hi. I'm in a high level of English right now and I began to study French. I usually do English in the morning and french in the evening but I feel like I'm not advancing in my learning of French. do you think I should divide my learning by days like three days of french and then practice my English another three days? What do you recommend? Thank you. Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
