She could have been 100 pounds and Howard would have said she needed to be 90. There was an 83 pound anorexic who called in and he kept saying 83 pounds did not sound THAT thin. He fueled my own eating disorder. Imagine what it would be like being a twenty-something in the 90s with body/self-esteem issues and listening to Howard every day - that was my life.
Howard seems to be into girls that are as skinny as possible. Not my cup o tea. Also the beauty standards were slightly different then as they were coming out of the "heroin chic" 90s. I hope this girl didn't listen to him about losing 10 pounds, it probably bothered her for a while.
They were HORRIBLE to women back then. The fact that this group of nasty men whom none are 10s or even 6s, would judge so harshly and make beautiful women feel badly about themselves blows my mind. I was a teenager when this aired and thank goodness I was a stick figure or I would have had more issues lol
Right away I was thinking yenta with that voice and was expecting the worst. Turns out she held her own had some some whitty things to say had a good bod, let’s be honest and there was a split second she resembled Demi. The most annoying thing to come out of this was Robin but that’s par for the show.
