I love this plane. It’s like a baby c130. Their other aircraft are also very neat as well. The Cm170 is also on par. And the little James Bond jet is a lot of fun to fly.

I love this plane so much, easily my favourite in the sim right now, and the update has improved it a ton Although there are a few issues that have come up with the new update like entering radio requencies now puts the frequency in the active channel instead of the standby but the speed at which they came out with the update was incredible EDIT: Btw, the radio heading button works now, it will follow whatever course and navaid you have tuned in NAV1, or the GPS track if there is nothing tuned on NAV1, the GPS/VLOC mode doesn't work, it will always be overidden by anything tuned in NAV1, I've not used the GPS much but in the two flights a did including one 8 hours transatlantic flight it followed the GPS fine

As a workaround for the condition lever shut off issue I have good success with a "running activation". Meaning: I start with my mouse pointer at some distance from the condition lever, then start moving the pointer towards the condition lever in the direction that I want to move the lever and then I just grab and pull the lever by pressing the mouse button at the right time while the mouse pointer is passing across it in a constant motion. That way I prevent any possible movement in the opposite direction. Seems to work fine for now. Also: the autopilot can already follow a GPS course, even it doesn't show the course on the EHSI. You have to uninstall the market place version of the Working Title 430/530 in the content manager, though. Otherwise the Garmin unit is stuck in GPS mode while still only only following radio navigation.

Apparently you can shoot flares and open the cargo door in flight similar to how it would happen if paratroopers were on board. It would be nice if they had some of those features to the aircraft itself like how the Pmdg BBJ has the option in fms the Escalades pull up on the tarmac

Great progress from the developer and a nice demo as usual. To prevent the engine shutting off bug I allocated a specific key to increase the fuel lever. I no longer have an engine cutout when increasing the levers with my joystick key. The machine you are transporting is a VAB: "Vehicle de l'avant blindé": an armored infantry transport with many variants. This vehicle is being retired and have a second life on Ukraine front. The other, the VBL is "Vehicle Blindé Léger" = light armored car.

I import flight plans to MSFS from Littlenavmaps and the 430 finds them no problem. Then if you select NAV2 course selector it will follow the flight plan no problems at all. It also captures the LOC and GS but I found it oscillates back and forth too much so I just hand fly it. With auto pilot you can turn it on and off quickly and then back on straight away it seems to behave a little better. I found that pressing the Alt hold button reset the preselect Alt in the FMC, so I just re enter it and all good.

Regarding the engine 1 shutdown before takeoff, have you tried using the scroll wheel to move the lever forward instead of click and drag? This should prevent the lever from moving slightly backward triggering a shutdown

Going to wait on buying this one dependent on improvements to the FMS and AP.

i noticed when using the 750 panel, if i enable the 4/530, i get oscillation similar to the dc-6; i also get this in appr mode in either configuration.

The 430 was a perfect addition until full FMC implementation. Calculating and executing TOD is enough work without getting trigonometry involved 🤣. However the C-160 is pretty forgiving about poor approach setups - if you haven’t tried the Sarajevo approach yet, I highly recommend it - easy on the nose gear!

First of all, thanks so much for sharing your expertise with all of us! It’s truly appreciated. I do have a question for you about the 8K texture pack you mentioned. I have downloaded it but not sure how to install the files as there doesn’t appear to be any readme file included. I’m assuming it needs to be copied into one of the folders and possibly overwriting the lower res files but I’m not certain of that. Can you share on how you installed the pack? Many thanks Sir!

Hi man, and reaally thak you for your great tutorials👍👍one question: the transall c160 can intercept a ils and the ap can follow the glide path i see using garmin 430... but how can i use this procedure? I ve only to change gps in vlock in the garmin and then it will follow the correct descending path? Where i ve to insert the ils frequency ?Thank you if you ll answer 😀

Your didn't fill out the add-ons used section of your video all the way. Can you please tell us which scenery this is?

Very nice plane love it. But when i engage the autopilot it doesn' t want to hold straight line. Instead the plane rolls to the left and holds like this. Any help with this maybe or someone with the same experience?

@737ngdriver Considering your fuel weight and 11 tons of payload loaded at that station (the VCAB positioned with it's CG @ ~8,5 m from the reference datum), it's quiet normal for the trim to be at a maxium tailward. Index change of the CG would be around -i44 (while operational index is between i82 and i112), with a neutral index of i100 (12,0 m from ref datum). So you would be well out of the operational limits. I hope AzurPoly, that had done a magnificent job with the C-160, will someday allow to shift the given cargo to a bit more realistic positions. That said, thank you for doing that interesting IFR Video with the "old dame" Transall. Keep more coming, please.

Does anyone have a link to those takeoff speed ref cards? I cannot find them with just the "Projekt Transall" as a reference. Would be cool if you could link stuff like this.

Technically I did follow the gps track with the 430. It actually does work if you have a gps course laid out from the world map. I even did a rnav approach with it and captured the glide slope. I was going to mess with it this morning before duty today.

Unfortunately, users are reporting the GNS 430 isn't following flight plans because it uses the pre-AAU1 system. Azurpoly has confirmed this and is working on a fix.

Anyone else getting wrong distance to station on localizer frequencies??

Hi, I have bought Azurpoly C160 yesterday from Sim Maker but it does'nt work. I can't figure out what the problem is. The on-board tablet does not turn on. The APU switch button cannot be used, the systems cannot be started. It's like a demo version. Please help me out because I like to use this program. Maybe the registration key is missing ? I have not received any. I wonder why is it not working. It was to expensive if it 's a demo version. Please give us technical advise. Many Thanks in advance 9:57

This plane should not be in the simulator as you can't put a flight plan in it. Maybe in DCS but not MFS. Anyway, like you said, it may not be realistic but hopefully they'll add it later. It's well done though but I won't be purchasing it unless they implement that. At least they have added an autopilot. Great video, by the way. Very informative.
