It's skill and throttle control. On a very fundamental level, all quads fly "the same" but good gear and firmware are things that just get you there a lot quicker in that they make the quad fly incredibly well. I'm pretty sure though those guys would also kill it if you gave them your quad! Would love to see some stick cam footage as well!

@@nikscherer I definitely know it's the skill involvement, but one thing I noticed, which of course is firmware / hardware dependant, is that the "slalom" that Skitzo used to do, like a simple ski slalom, I had issues with earlier versions of Betaflight. I did find out that rates and EXPO played a roll in it, but initially, when I was having problems (this was also YEARS ago, when things like slalom were "amazing" lol ) "nailing" the slalom cleanly and moving forward (in Betaflight) that my KISS gear, with EXACT rates, was easily able to slalom. Now, anyone who flies KISS gear knows it's a little "stiffer" on the middle stick position, making things like that easier. The newer Betaflights today, with the iterm_relax_cutoff setting, and feedforward, etc, have been able to bring in that stiffer center stick feel KISS once was the only one to have, and those types of things are now (slalom) second nature to me on ANY firmware (skill and muscle memory), but the thing about watching the JUICY flight as we have come to call it, has to do with some excellent hang time and throttle management, among other things. I build my quads as light as possible, My ALIEN is FINALLY 590g fully loaded with Hero5 Session, and I have an AstroX X5 Silky, that is a touch lighter, around 560g with TPU and GoPro, but watching his flights, being SO low to the ground, blipping throttle and "barely" moving up, yet hanging there for what feels like 5 minutes, I don't get it, any time I try low altitude maneuvers like that, I come close, but I still have to quickly flip and recover... making me wonder if there is something else with throttle management they all do with micro blips at specific intervals to keep it in the air so much longer than a straight blip once, then hang for eternity.. lol Sorry for such a long reply, I just get waves of thoughts and need to spew them out to hopefully convey my thoughts!
