Instagram- AdamTheWooATW I honestly don’t know how many more home games I’ll be going to this year until postseason (if it happens) . Still have 10 away stadiums this year to knock off my list and the traffic on i4 is absolutely unbearable. Driving 2.5 hours one way to go to an empty ballpark can wear on you after a while
AFter 35 yrs in CA I've returned to my home State of FL. OMG. The HEAT. Got an invite to go to Treasure Island tomorrow to sit and bake on the beach. Pass. The heat is enough of a deterrent, but the thought of a trip from Lakeland to Orlando on I-4 makes a trip to Cocoa out of the question. I can love Florida from indoors until October. Feb-May has been incredibly gorgeous but the next 5 months I'll be a cave hermit 10 am to 7 pm. Used to be my 2 pairs of shorts and 4 short sleeve t's were "seasonal" ... now my sweatshirts are all in a box in the closet and I need to go shopping. Can't even bring myself to touch them. LOL!
I also have been here almost my whole life (me and my wife met you and nat at the Buccee’s Daytona Opening. I hate this FL heat more and more, But 6 months of beauty for 6 months of hell
As a long time Mets fan, I was NOT happy with the recent sweep by Tampa Bay. Up until that series I was finding a soft spot for the Rays based on watching your videos but that was a horrible showing by my Mets. Keep up the good work; really enjoy all the videos of baseball and beyond.
Traffic has been absolutely nuts lately, the worst I've seen in 40 years living in the Tampa area. I swear the tourists aren't leaving this year, every 3rd license plate is out of state and it's fucking MAY.
@@darylkidscorner6174 Nah I have no issue with tourists, but traditionally they are more seasonal. I'm guessing more of them are retired than ever now and they're just hanging around longer with no strict schedule to follow. But damn, I've gotta get my kid to school and it's like a parking lot of Ohio and Indiana plates.
Hey Adam great video with Tampa Jay and Cowbell Max while attending the TB Ray's baseball game in St Petersburg, FL..Nice connect Jersey uniforms..Enjoy
So I may be tired from being at work since 2 am, but when you got to the part about "slurping up the tapioca balls" I laughed for like 10 minutes I had to pause the video,lol..thanks for not editing that out,you made my day today!
Oh Adam, I get gas at Sam's Club, and right now in Sioux Falls, gas is $3.04/ gal. Sometimes I just complain out loud either how much you're paying or how little you're paying, depending on where you are. California is usually the most expensive.
Adam, yesterday I enjoyed some Pho 21 in Buena Park while the breeze coming off the Pacific Ocean was creating another perfect day. SOCAL misses you....
I'll always remember that crazy end of game 4 of the 2020 world series, that was possibly THE high water mark for the Rays in the last 5 or 6 years - can't believe it's been almost 4 years since that night
You know I-4 is one of the deadliest highways in the U.S. now. As many times I’ve driven it and dread it, Adam speaks the truth about this horrendous road
I4 has truly become a total nightmare. Years ago the traffic was much closer to Tampa and that 75ish area. Now it starts in west Orlando and just continues to Tampa. It sucks!
Once drank to much coffee and heading east on I-5 was no problem for a few miles east of Tampa....Then bam, traffic came to a stop and we creep all the way to Orlando at 5 mph. I had to pee so bad that I almost just got out and peed along the highway. Made it to an exit rushed to a gas station/convenience store and their was a line waiting to use the rest room. Some nice people let me go ahead of them and I stayed dry!
🌜After 7 years, it's about time to go visit "Mac Tonight" again. 👍I bet the Mcdonald's museum in San Bernardino, California has a large collection of "Mac Tonight" collectibles.🌛
Pepsi doesn't own Tropicana field they only own naming rights to their products so Tampa and Tropicana field can do and sell anything including coke cola products at there stadium
@@vinnygognitti8858 I said what I’m saying Pepsi-Cola owes owns Tropicana. It is Tropicana Field. I understand that I understand that somebody else owns Tropicana Field. They’re just sponsoring at.
I guess the stache in back in full force. I personally can’t do the stache. With a stache, I look like a cop or an adult film star. So I’m choosing not to do the stache. Thanks for talking about the stache though. We have to raise stache awareness. Your stache is respectful too, Adam. 💙
Where was Cowbell Max’ giant super loud cowbell ? Did 1 of the 58 fans in attendance complain it was too loud and interrupting their naps ? Lol. The new stadium should bring in more fans hopefully.
In South America they drink hot coffee in the heat because it makes you feel cooler. When your body temperature increases the outside of air feels cooler in reference.
@@CongressSux1776 I live in Florida, southwest part of Florida. I’m drinking a large hot coffee in 90° weather with 65% humidity. It’s not a old wives tale, it’s a matter of science. It’s unfortunate that you didn’t think about it before you made the comment.
@@FaithwalkerTodd Ok, explain the “science” of it to me. Matter of fact the science is out. The only way drinking hot beverages to cool off in a hot environment is possible is if causes you to sweat more, and that sweat evaporates off. Even that is iffy science You live in southwest Florida? When does your sweat ever evaporate off your skin in this state?? NEVER! Drinking any hot beverages to cool Off in summer heat of Florida is asinine
@@CongressSux1776 Drinking hot coffee on a hot day can seem counterintuitive, but it can actually make a person feel cooler due to a physiological response known as thermoregulation. Here's a detailed explanation of how it works: 1. **Core Temperature and Heat Dissipation**: When you drink hot coffee, your body temperature rises slightly. This increase in temperature triggers your body's natural cooling mechanisms. One of the most effective ways your body cools itself is through sweat. 2. **Sweating and Evaporation**: As the body's temperature increases, it stimulates the sweat glands to release sweat. The sweat sits on the skin's surface and, as it evaporates, it takes heat away from the body, creating a cooling effect. 3. **Increased Circulation**: Along with sweating, the body's blood vessels may dilate (vasodilation), allowing more blood to flow near the surface of the skin. This increased circulation helps disperse heat more quickly, further enhancing the cooling effect. 4. **Environmental Factors**: The cooling effect is particularly noticeable in dry or breezy environments where sweat evaporates more readily. In these conditions, the evaporative cooling from sweating can be quite effective, reducing the body's overall temperature. 5. **Balance and Comfort**: For some people, drinking hot coffee can also provide a sense of comfort and relaxation, which may indirectly contribute to feeling cooler or more at ease, even on a hot day. It's worth noting that this process does require some sweat to evaporate to be effective, so it might not be as noticeable in humid environments where evaporation is less efficient. Additionally, individual tolerance to heat varies, so the perceived cooling effect from drinking hot beverages may not be the same for everyone. In summary, drinking hot coffee on a hot day can lead to an increase in body temperature, which triggers the body's cooling mechanisms like sweating and vasodilation. As the sweat evaporates, it removes heat, leading to a cooling sensation.

The worst season in 1978 for the Mets was managed by Joe Torre who managed them post '69 Mets when Payson sold off everything. Funny how the next worst team was Torre's Cardinals. Then Joe ended up with the Yankees managing them with a much better, bigger salary team. Cohen's trying to play big-moneyball like Steinbrenner did in the same period. He's not as good at it. Funny how Cohen is the polar opposite to Billy Bean. Met's have good offense, it's their pitching/relief that can't hold. Look at Diaz in the 3rd loss to the Rays. He's supposed to be the Supreme Reliever? The Art Deco looks like it's getting heat pumps under those corner structures. Didn't that station used to be Hess? I'm guessing Florida traffic is getting worse from Mets fans moving to Florida?
Florida summer has officially started whether we like it or not. Time to melt. What is wrong with the Rays this season? They were so good last year. This year they kinda make me think I want to go back to rooting for the team I used to root for, the Braves. I-4 is horrible. That’s why I know backroads all the way from coast to coast if it gets bad.
@@johnarmstrong6227 no but this season is a drastic change from last season. Just makes you wonder what happened. And I may live in Florida but I really dislike Florida summers. My least favorite season. The only thing good about Florida summers are the beautiful sunsets. It’s just plain too hot.
The attendance for Ray's home games just sucks so bad!. Probably doesn't make the team feel good about it either. But it was a game during the week. So maybe that's why.
Pretty pathetic attendance for Tampa being on a winning streak. It’s really embarrassing. You want to see fans who appreciate a winning team , just check out the Phillies home games.
You read all kinds of opinions on why the Rays don't do better for attendance. I hate some of the solutions, like moving the team to Tampa and using the state fair grounds for a new stadium...Building a new stadium on the water front that would be open air....etc, etc....Getting to Tropicana Field isn't that hard once your beyond Tamp heading across the hump...on I-75. I wish I had a good answer.
THIS is the issue. Everyone roots for home teams That new park will have good attendance the 1st year out of curiosity, then drop off a cliff.@playedout148
While here in Michigan, we still have cold rainy weather. We finally had a 70 plus degree day Tuesday and ended up with tornados and danger winds. Of which took our entire wooden privacy fence down.. some of it was thrown across the street and broken into toothpick sized pieces. So now more work and more money. And today is chilly and rainy aglain. We want spring and summer here soon ..have cabin fever badly and need to get out in nice weather. But dont need 100 degrees either
P.S. that recycle machine is just like our returnable bottle refund machines ..Michigan carries a .10 cent fee on all drinks and to keep our streets clean , we return to those machines to get our ten cents back a bottle ...
