A Dish for HOA or Do we keep it? - Plus an Aldi Food Haul 

I really was blessed to be able to care for my parents. My dad had a stroke and had trouble talking. My mom had Parkinson's It was a year and a half journey with my dad and 11 years with my mom. She reallly was easy to care for. She was so grateful and told me so frequently. Was privliged to see my dad come to the Lord late in life as a result of my mom quietly living out her faith.

Great recipe! We used Hawaiian rolls and Southern Comfort ( challah and bourbon not available). It was a winner with the family--thank you Papa!

Although I came to u via Our Tribe, I really enjoyed your grocery haul! It is refreshing to see a grocery haul for a couple and not always the large family grocery hauls - simply because there are people who watch u, like me, who maybe love alone, or maybe are 'older in age' people and it is interesting to see different shopping choices people make. As an Eastern European Jew, we pronounce challah with a hard "ch" and "ee" at the end instead of "ah". My son makes homemade challah and we love French toasted challah grilled cheese-dip your cheese sandwich in egg batter and cook like French toast:)

Great idea using store bought croutons in French Onion Soup. I make mine with half beef broth and half chicken broth. When using the microwave for potatoes I cut off the ends instead of piercing the skin. Never had a problem. Happy Holidays.

A little tip is if you spray some oil before the honey it comes out clean! Sweet potato is so good! Yummy bread pudding!🙏❤️🙏❤️☮️

Gooseliver recipe…1 block of softened cream cheese, 1/2 of that package ( I purchased the same one at Aldi) fresh minced onion (to taste) splash of Worcestershire sauce. Mix together & chill. You can either form ball and roll it in chives chopped very small. Serve with crackers. It is so good. I always make it for the Holidays. Enjoy. Love your videos. You and Susan are a great duo.

Very nice sweet potato bread pudding looks delicious. Love bread pudding, grew up having a Irish bread pudding with a Irish caramel whiskey sauce. My mom loved liverwurst she grew up during the great depression and she told us they were thankful for whatever meat they had.

I enjoyed your mini Aldi haul. Liver cheese is one of my favorite things. Slice it thin put on a cracker top with a little mustard so good or on a sandwich. I'm not a bread pudding fan but I love sweet potatoes that did look very good.

Bread pudding is my favorite dessert. I made a pumpkin version with toasted pecan no bourbon. I took it to work for a birthday and it was a hit.

I love bread pudding. I make it quite often. I buy brioche bread at Aldis, and let it get stale. It’s my comfort food! My husband and I love Aldis. I usually buy my Kerry Gold butter their too!

My Dad lived to be 96 and he was raised on sweet potatoes. He loved bananas, sweet potatoes, green beans and cream corn.

Papa is now a fan of bread pudding! I made my first bread pudding about a month ago called Pecan Pie Bread Pudding. My kids and I ate it until it was all gone. Got the recipe from a sweet RU-vidr in Arkansas.

skinny mixes has a flavoring called maple bourbon pecan that is to die for...you can order it online thru skinny mixes. I put it in my coffee...highly recomend

In Australia we call it Bread and Butter Pudding , looks delish but I'm still trying to get my head around sweet potato in it, we don't have sweet potato in dessert the same a s pumpkin, we roast it, mash it with butter and I make fritters out of it, anyway I agree I would have kept it and eaten it and taken the Doritos as Nanna suggested I don't think anyone would appreciate the amount of work involved , I agree with you about Aldi we have one a few mins away you definitely save money shopping there, I couldn't do a full shop there but for certain items it's great, pleased you are back home with Nanna I'm sure it's not just the cooking she missed it's the companionship also 🤗👌
