The problem was likely going from an action series to something, erm, quieter ( ? ).

@@hughjassol-0- As a prequel or sequel, it was better than " Babylon 5 : The Crusade ". A lot of people want The Fast & Furious rather than Dickens.

What show/film got you hooked on Bear McCreary initially? I'm curious because, for me, Battlestar was that show. That led to others like Sarah Connor Chronicles, Walking Dead, Da Vinci's Demons, Black Sails. Not trying to gatekeep, I'm just curious what someone else's path was.

The first time I noticed him as someone special was the intro of Black Sails. That must be the greatest intro of a TV-show ever. But I have to admit, I totally fell for him with the Godzilla-King of the Monsters soundtrack. I cannot describe the depths of emotions I went through everytime I watched it. The unapologetic and relentless devotion of this score to the love for the material is unparalleled IMO. Then it took me almost 20 years to watch Battlestar after I realised he had made the soundtrack. And it is glorious! Second best intro of a TV-show, ever. The show is surprisingly layered and deep.

Been to a few of them, and yeah- they did rock.
