I know you have gone for Foxie Boxies cos I’ve seen the next instalment! I would agree with that, I think the Tamara set looked a bit like jamas, very luxurious ones but still jamas. I’m short and round and shorts are not really my vibe ( I’m also 65) but even I could think about the foxie boxies to go over my cozzie at the beach/pool, especially if I got to a hot beach!! I hope you’ve had a lovely time in Santorini. I’m loving your videos btw, I’ve not long been subscribed but that means I have a lot to binge watch!
I love the white fabric from Andrea but agree that you could use it for the Foxie shorts and a top. Just finished my Cielo, inspired by you and I love it 💕

Hehe YES! I sort of had a hunch from the Donny shirt video that you would change your mind😂🤣. It's going to be PERECT! Despite the fact that your Cielo is very beautiful and that colour is GORGEOUS on you. Pietra can wait. It's ok! You want something quick and easy for holiday sewing and I think your picks would be faster to put together than Pietra.
I’m on my 3rd Donny now Tamlyn😮 and have a 4th and 5th planned, I’m obsessed 😅 I’ve made 3 co-ord sets with the safiya trousers and to be fair they look like posh pyjamas when worn together so will probably wear as separates 😊 my 4th set I got a lovely tropical cotton lawn so will make that with some shorts if I have enough fabric and the 5th I fancy doing the Donny in a ponte for the autumn with full length sleeves. I have also just got the quilla top by fibre mood and I think you would like that too for santorini, it would pair lovely with shorts 😊 have a great holiday 😊
This top looks very smart on you, so kudos for completing it. It sounds like you have fabulous plans for summery outfits from which you 'll get lots of use! I listened to your observations about changing plans as I work through a quilting project I wish I could have changed plans on, but I'm too far into it now! YES! Life happens, and we have to adapt!
Love the Cielo but I completely understand when a new pattern gets released and you go crazy for it! Love the Donny too and have earmarked a few fabrics now for it 😂 I’d say to get the Solines a try, love both of the shorts and culottes I’ve made. I need to revisit this pattern as it’s so comfortable but I’m off to see about the Foxy Boxy Shorts now!
Great video - it’s good to know that it’s normal to change plans! This happens me every year, I typically don’t get all my seasonal plans finished so leave them on my list until next summer/autumn/etc and then a year later they just feel like a job to do instead of something I am dying to crack on with! I think we all need to go easy on ourselves. That Lady McElroy fabric was made to be a Donny shirt!!
I’m in NJ, USA and tights and shorts/ leggings is a must in the cold fall & Winter months. Especially if going up to NY and Philly. Trying to stay cute and cozy isn’t easy 🥹🤣🤣
The Cielo looks fab ob you. I have a couple in Nani iro DG . I reckon the Gilbert with whichever of the shorts patterns you like best for your coord set ?
The first pattern shorts seem short in the crotch.With the loose style this could be embarrassing when wearing. I love the shorts you've made up and they would look fab in both fabrics
I think I’d probably put 2 patterns together to make the coord. as you have some tried and tested patterns.For instance I plan to make the Safira trousers and maybe the sewoverit silk cami. depending how much fabric I have after the trousers. That is also a shorts pattern but not especially high waisted. The ceilo pattern reminds me of the Scout tee I made last summer in poplin , so I probably wouldn’t purchase it. I do love the big sleeves though. 😊However sometimes you just have to go with your heart.
