Great to see Eddie the Ess in his rightful environment - on the road for a springtime outing and not jacked up in a workshop. Hope you enjoyed your excursion into the very scenic Dorsetshire, I look forward to more instalments! My mother had a Herald 1200 in b.r.g. and I always remember my father demonstrating its amazing turning circle to 10-year old me on a narrow country lane near my boarding school in Staffordshire.

Glad you enjoyed it And yes, those Heralds were great!.. Except when the front wheels came off due to worn out trunnions!! Happened to me twice on my Herald Saloon 1200 before I found out you're supposed to keep them well greased! ...You live and learn hey?! All the best and thanks for sharing! Kind regards TR T

I hope both your red Triumphs get plenty of use this year, after all the effort and expense so far ! Great that you have Alan to hand who knows and likes the cars, and can also help with the mechanicals and troubleshooting…

Lovely car! Had 2500TC automatic that was mechanically S spec with PAS etc. Great cruiser and tow car. These Big Sixes are arguably the best cars Triumph made.

Silky Smooth Straight Six your engine number should start with MM and end with HE . Try doin the old 2 pence test. Should be able to stand one on engine without falling down 😎
