What makes it good is the memories that you feel when you experience the taste and smell of the food. I remember. It takes me back to a time and place when things were good. Thank you for bringing up those memories for me.
Hey Dalvin...old days definitely...Applebees, Red Lobster, Old Country Buffet (OCB), Chili's, Long John Silvers, Ruby Tuesday, and Fridays...my kind of food...
😊😊😊😊 im 51...nostalgic for me is Captain D's. We ate Captain DS for seafood. Unless we went to our local seafood butcher market. They sold seafood. And plates too.
Pandorosa was a staple for my family when I was a child. This video brought back memories. I appreciate you. Love these type of videos with you talking about real life experiences
$50 for that 😂🤣 that’s exactly why they’re closing 😩 them scrawny crab legs probably ain’t have no meat and they biscuits def don’t taste how they used to 🤷🏽♀️ they used to be so fye
Loved Ponderosa! Or Sizzler. LOL Yes country buffet became Hometown Buffet, they had one in Easton area in columbus oh! They have a sizzler in the OC still :) We also had Chi Chis mexican restaurant back in the Boston area! Where a gurl fell in love with fried ice cream. haaaaaaaaa Sooo nostalgic
When I saw the Red Lobster I went to after my middle school graduation closed!!! it broke my heart. The food stinks now but you are right it was a special go to place when we didnt have as many seafood restaurants as there are now.
I was there with Family tonight. One of my favorite restaurants. Back in the day before the cheddar biscuits, they had the best hush puppies ever. My heart is literally breaking at so many closings. 😥😢😭
Red Lobster was the first experience with crab legs we had as well. I am a 70's baby that grew up in the 80's - there weren't a whole lot of options and now there's all types of competition taking them out. It's kinda sad for sure - the end of an era.
That's my favorite meal from Red Lobster. My second fave is the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake. They just came out of bankruptcy and will now operate as an independent company. Hopefully, that means some of them will stay open. I'm hoping the one in my neighborhood in MD will stay open. I still love Red Lobster. ❤️
When you're in Chicago go to Goose Island Shrimp House and order everything you like with the hot sauce!( Extra ) Jumbo Shrimp fish chips? its different
Hello Dalvin! I still love red lobster, especially their biscuits, shrimp scampi and unlimited shrimp. I’m gonna also be sad to see them go. I love to see you enjoy a good meal!
I remember asking to go to red lobster for my bday as a teen or young kid knowing that was probavly THE GIFT! My mom was a single mom and that was a HUGE treat forcher to take us!
Hi Dalvin, You are correct about being under Darden, here’s what I found out: Darden announced plans in 2013 to sell Red Lobster, separating the chain from the rest of its business. The following year, Darden sold Red Lobster to Golden Gate Capital, a private equity firm, for $2.1 billion. To help fund the deal, Red Lobster spun off its real estate assets in a transaction known as a sale-leaseback agreement. Red Lobster had long owned its own real estate but would now be paying rent to lease its restaurants. One of the leaders came up with a promotion to increase customers… The Ultimate Seafood Feast ended up being too popular and put them in debt and just couldn’t recovery from it. But it looks like they were just purchased maybe be saved, we’ll see. The 35-Year-Old CEO Plotting Red Lobster’s Comeback The former P.F. Chang’s leader promises better service, food and interiors, but no more $20 unlimited shrimp on the standard menu.
8:54 What if you also thought about visiting restaurants in different parts of the state that may be, either going out of business or have great ratings and vlog that? 🤔 It could get you out of the city and familiar with other parts of the state. 🤷🏾💡❓
I just went to red lobster last night lol it wasn’t like it used to be I went for my wedding anniversary and I’m not sure if my area is going out of business.
There is still one near us in Indianapolis, Ind. I recently took my two sisters there . We were all disappointed in our meals. I didn’t complain or ask for a refund, I just knew at that moment I would never spend another dollar here.
Thanks for giving us some of that shrimp scampi 🍤 ❤! I know you probably cleaned it up with you 50 pack of magic eraser that you were talking about in a different video! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Literally just left there with my family an hour ago. The restaurant was so empty. Never seen it that way. There was 3 others couples in there and the atmosphere was just sad.
@@jarellfowler3934 I'm asking a question, I understand havent in the house in a safe place ,but was he showing it because he was letting people know or people been watching 👀 him in his apartment area or something. I know he's house is on the first floor from what he shows. Just was a question bro
Red lobster is the same for me!!! Such a nostalgic meal and its so good to me. And yes it was always packed too, im 32 years old. Although they definitely taxing, and That might be part of the problem. We dont eat it often now... But, I dont know it kinda sucks they are going out. ❤
I remember going there for my birthday and they always sat blacks in the back. When we got to our table there were two other couples(black). When my husband mentioned it was my birthday, we found out we were all celebrating a birthday. We had our own little party in the back! Lol
I hate that Long John Silvers is going! 😢 if you have one there please do a video. Pioneer Chicken was the best but its a Cali thing ❤sooooo you need to hit the road because they are worth it 😊❤❤.
