I am so sorry you have been ill. I think it odd that I become ill every year during my Pisces birthday month. The rest of the year I am fine. You said you get ill every “ spring … it is around your birthday time. May you be healthy, may you be at peace.

Welcome back! We are all glad you are doing better! If possible in the future releasing these before Sunday is preferable to me! Then I know what to look for while attending on Sunday. Yes, I am still attending and listening for truth and righteousness!

The late William Hamblin addressed the false prophecy and explained that the nation of Israel as it is now cannot be the fulfilling of this prophecy, so there is an obvious workaround.

That was very good. As I understand it there were some completely new insights in this episode? That’s no mean feat considering how many people have studied the BOM!

What you describe is a recipe for confirmation bias. You genuinely WANT something to be true...so you BELIEVE that it must be true...in order to TELL YOURSELF that it is true. A belief should be dependent on EVIDENCE, not your desires or passions or inclinations. Facts are stubborn things as John Adams pointed out. Faith is not a reliable pathway to truth.

+27:00 I wonder if the siege portion of the writing was referring to more modern attacks on the Native Americans, rather than the BOM narrative. There were several forts in America, and there were definitely sieges on the Indian people.

Yes, that passage specifically is talking about the Gentile interactions with the Lamanites, not the Lamanites and Nephites. Though it starts quoting at Isa 29:3 and not 29:2 where it says that Israel shall become as a sacrificial hearth. Given the fact that the biggest killer of Native Americans was disease (fever), I think Nephi missed the opportunity to include verse 2 and describe how they shall burn with fever. I wonder if Joseph Smith knew about how big of an impact disease had had on the native populations of his continent, or if he primarily pictured the conflicts with Europeans as being acts of war.

The 1838 Anthon account actually contradicts the earlier ones. It says that Anthon declared that the characters were legitimate and the translation true. It has him actually reading the characters (which he couldn't do if they were bona fide Egyptian). But the earlier accounts have him merely saying he can't read it. The 1838 account actually goes against what's in 2 Ne 27.

I find it odd that Nephi uses the phrase "the Jews" so often instead of "our people" or "my people." "The Jews" sounds cold to me.

Isa 28 9 ¶ Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept MUST be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: YET THEY WOULD NOT HEAR. Clearly this is a positive. A blessing. FOR THOSE WILLING TO HEAR! 13 BUT the word of the Lord WAS unto THEM(THOSE WHO WOULD NOT HEAR, as stated above) precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that THEY(those who would not hear) might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. But for those who are not willing, the word of the Lord is a snare... not a blessing! This is consistent with what Christ taught saying, from them that hath shall be given more. And from them that hath not shall be taken away even that which they hath.. Or when he said, the stone which the builders rejected hath become a stone of stumbling... but for those who believe , the stone hath become the corner.. Point is, it can be a positive and a negative.. hence, Blessed are they who will give ear to the lord..

The scattering and gathering of Israel has multiple meanings.. it is a process.. I think it's unreasonable to expect 100% belief before the gathering to which you speak of can occur.. Let me ask you, did Christ come, according to prophecy of Isaiah, in military might to bear the government upon his shoulders? Do you doubt this prophecy? Well Why not? For it spoke of Christ. A child! Who would bear the government upon his shoulders from an oppressed people.. yet he did not! And how many centuries have we waited for the fulfillment of this prophecy in Isa? 20? How bout, You wait 19 more centuries to claim false prophecy about the gathering and what it means..

Fun fact: The events in Terminator 2 - Judgment Day followed the events in The Terminator. The writers of the New Testament read the religious writings of the Jews and "fulfilled the prophecies" that they found. Joseph Smith did something similar. Consider the "fulfilled prophecy" of Christopher Columbus that Smith included in The Book of Mormon. Smith knew that Columbus had sailed to the New World...so the "prophecy" isn't very impressive at all. Likewise, James Cameron knew that Skynet would send the T1000 to kill John Connor in the sequel....

You can't have members speaking in the tounge of angels, they need to follow the prophet.A cult requires following a leader.

The early Mormons spoke in tongues. They also fell down to the floor in order to show others that they were "saved by Jesus!" The early Mormons were very charismatic and boisterous. Today's Mormons are very quiet and reserved during worship services. The early Mormons were louder and moved more. They were "Pentecostal."

Stop lying RFM. 2NE Chapter 25 Does not say that the Jews will believe in Christ before they gather again in Jerusalem. The gathering is mentioned in verse 11. The Jews believing in Christ is verse 16 has one condition that the they must be scattered. RFM not all Jews live in Jerusalem. They must be gathered in Jerusalem is not a condition given for them to believe in Christ. RFM you should stop lying. 11 And now this I speak because of the spirit which is in me. And notwithstanding they have been carried away they shall return again, and possess the land of Jerusalem; wherefore, they shall be restored again to the land of their inheritance. 16 And after they have been scattered, and the Lord God hath scourged them by other nations for the space of many generations, yea, even down from generation to generation until they shall be persuaded to believe in Christ, the Son of God, and the atonement, which is infinite for all mankind-and when that day shall come that they shall believe in Christ, and worship the Father in his name, with pure hearts and clean hands, and look not forward any more for another Messiah, then, at that time, the day will come that it must needs be expedient that they should believe these things.
