A far cry from my old office job. 

We would all love to live off grid, but the reality of having to cut and process trees like these to build your log cabin is far removed from the dream we are sold. This is the reality of storm damage work in the forest. Torn up trees, hung up root plates. Dangerous exhausting work.
I seriously wonder how a lot of the build a log cabin in the wilderness, or build your own log cabin in the woods videos are made. How can you build a log cabin by hand? I work with trees and for the life of me I can't see how you can build a log cabin without heavy machinery. Go figure.
