I like the filter effect, but I also love intense color saturation. Perhaps I could have both if I use the filter during filming, and when editing sightly increase the saturation / contrast ?
I was considering one of these ones, I had the Variable ND from NISI the True Color one, and I love it! I will go for the nisi mist also after looking the results of the video, just because I like the softer blooming ans spreader blooming effetc.
Hiya, how is it? Does it vignette much? I am on the fence about getting one to go with the true colour cpl as well. Then I started looking through their website and saw these mist ones too🤣
@@MaxCherry4170 mine doesn’t vignette at all! I have two of Vario ND True Color, one 67mm and other 77mm. I use the 67mm on the tamron 17-28 and 28-75 and I get no vignette! The color casting is ridiculously noticeable, barely nothing!
@@JorisHermans Hi again Joris, I always re-watch your videos and wanted to know if there is a great difference between the Tiffen Pro Mist filters and the Tiffen Black Pro Mist filters in the 1/8 subtle ones, I noticed that you previously were using the regular pro mist ones and later the black pro mist on the newer videos, do you choose the black ones because they keep the black tones better? What is the most important difference between them? Thank you very much!
Currently experimenting with the 7Artisans 1/8 (promising) and I’ve got a Puyi 1/4 on the way. Seems like we have a similar affliction ;-) would love to see extensive tests with Glimmer Glass.
I have a question, quite subjective but anyhow: If you would only could buy 1 of these pro-mist filters would your personal first choice be 1/8 or 1/4? which one would be useful more than the other in every situation, meaning which one would be your preferred GO-TO filter?
Hi Joris, thank you for amazing video. I’m gonna buy one of these Nisi filters. Can you advise, if I have Nisi ND 82 1-5 and Freewell ND 82 6-9, is it ok to buy Nisi mist filters also 82 size to use them together (Mist with ND)?
I'm looking to stack a Mist filter with an ND filter. By any chance could you tell me if the Nisi Mist filter has front threads for additional filters to be screwed onto? Can't find much info on the internet unfortunately :/
I bought the Tiffen 1/8 Black Pro MIst, but shortly after I had bought the Variable ND Filter swift system from Nisi. Would you recommend I return the Tiffen 1/8 to grab the Nisi Swift 1/8 black mist? I don't have experience applying mist and Variable ND filters together but I feel like it'd probly be smarter to have the same eco system of VND Filter / Black mist if I plan to combine em. I cant find any videos where the NIsi and Tiffen are combined for looks but i'd imagine its not that uncommon.
@@HumzaYousafFilms the variable ND filter came in clutch! I'd say they compliment both really well. The mist at first I thought was going to be weak but it's actually just good enough to be noticable in my opinion. It gives a soft and natural feeling. The variable ND is hard to go anywhere with and I find myself asking why I didn't get it sooner. I'm sure this doesn't help choosing one but I guess if I had to choose one then I lean to the variable ND filter.
The intro 🤣 (note to self: don't take a sip of water when Joris is being funny 🤦🏻♂️🤣). I love my Variable ND filter but have been promising myself a mist filter for a long time, so cheers for this man 🙏🏻. Personally, I thought the Tiffen slightly pipped the Nisi - but both are really cool.
@@JorisHermans ahhh, wait, wait!!! Ermmmm...NO...not at all. But you talking about it (and maybe getting a little TOO excited about it 🤣) is (*insert appropriate swear word here) hilarious 🤣. Great video as always man 🙏
Please Help! 🫤 We love using mist filter on everything as well! Unfortunately, we have nothing for our DJI Air2S. Freewell does make one, but it's a garbage polarizer. Polar Pro makes one for our Mavic 3, but that's it. Any advise? Should we try to match the effect in PP?
I really liked your video, I haven't been able to do something like that, except for an article. Before, I didn't see the point of a glass in front of my glasses. I have studied each filter during the pandemic and for me Tiffen is the best by far, along with his brothers from Schneider (Ira Tiffen). I use the ones in the list and I can only say that each filter has its use and characteristics. From Peaky Blinders to Barry Lyndon. I'm still researching and testing. I am a professional photographer turned to video (DVR). If I had to mount one it would only be a 1/4 BPM (Glimmer Glass 1 is fine but can't shoot in direct light). Thanks and regards.
@JorisHermans I subscribed cause your funny as hell man, even very informative. Iam the same way. Iam starting a RU-vid channel subscribe of you wish but my question is this. I just bought the tiffen black mist off your recommendation. Iam stucj choosing between 2 vnds to lair it with. The freewell v2 or the nissi swift? Which one would you go with and why?
Hi, Thanks for the video. I have circular ND filter on my lense. So do u hv any idea how to get this filter as well on top of it since ND filters do not have thread on front elements..! 🥲
@@colinshootsfilm im hear for views and opinions. some things i dont see on the look. for me its more than that. so yeah, i care. i tend to get the users preference and reasons which are not found on the images. so yeah thats why
