A Father Indeed 

When Bill asked for a son, he got one of the best people that heaven could ever send. Those people are the best people in all creation.

Hearing that this father passed away yesterday. Amazing man going straight to heaven!

May all men in this world step up to the great responsibility and blessing of being a dad as this man has! To my own dad- I love you. To my husband who is a wonderful dad to all of our children... I love you so much! And to my sons who are dads... the world is a better place because you are in it.

Let's all try a little harder to be a better father. It is such a big responsibility, and such an amazing blessing and gift.

My dad died of a drug overdose when I was 15. I know he loved me and I am trying to be a good father. I am looking forward to seeing my dad again and telling him I love him. He did the best he could. In the celestial kingdom my dad will be a great grandfather to my son.

When I see a Father or a husband like this? I think of how rich he is. His soul has been fed with all the best things in life. Like family, God, and Love, he is what I consider “Strong”, he’s a Father. To your Wife and children you will always be cherished. That’s the biggest reward in life. ♥️🙏😇. I so appreciate the video. I only grew up with my mother; her second husband abused her,so she got a divorce; she raised me and my eleven brothers and sisters on her own. When she passed away, I was 14, and I moved in with my older brother who was married and had two daughters. For the last four years, he has been the father I never had; caring, loving, and accepting. Though he is my brother, this video makes me think of him. I think God knew I would need a father figure, and sent me my brother.

Its great to see a video that is worthy, and respectful towards fathers, instead of one that tears men, and fathers down. Thank you for posting this, and thank you Bill for being the man that you are!

I want my kids to say that about me some day. I want to be like that, I want to be like that garbage man, that hero.

But as a 23 year old soon to be married to the woman I love, all I do is worry about how I will provide, what kind of husband and father I will be, and how I will overcome the pitfalls and profanity of our times. A truly delightful story

Reminds me of my dad. Why is my dad an engineer? Not because he aspired to be one but because when he was going through college as a father of 5 he discovered that those were the highest paying jobs for a 4 yr degree. He did it for us, and I've never heard him say that he regrets it!

What about those without perfect families? My great grandfather committed murder-suicide with his wife. Through the generations, the church has forgotten us because the church is about perfect families, not imperfect families. And so because the church has forgotten us, I've forgotten the church. Oh well. There are other sources of love and hope.

This man is actually my uncle! He truly is an amazing father and a Christlike example of love and charity. He has taken wonderful care of his family and had been blessed for it immensely! Love ya Uncle Bill!

I became a father for the 1st time today to two beautiful twin girls who were born premature. Mom and the girls are doing OK. I look forward to raising them.

I have 2 Fathers. A Heavenly Father and an earthly Father. My earthly Father taught me how to be a father and to love my Heavenly Father. He was my hero and my guide to a testimony that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me. My Father has departed this world, but I believe he will always be my Father and one day I will reunite with him and my wonderful Mother.

This reminds me of my Grandpa Lewis. He was a garbage man for the rest of his working life after WWII. He raised a family of 4 and he and my grandma were married until the day he died. He was diagnosed with MS, but kept working as long as he could to take care of his family. I miss him so badly. He was this kind of man.

My husband is a door-to-door salesman, and every night he brings home a few pennies and coins he has found along his daily path, and I love him for it!

I grew up without a father but through the teachings and instructions of the church and other examples of fatherhood such as my mission president or bishops I came closer to my Heavenly Father and found a role model as the fathers we ought to be . I hope I can always provide and be worthy of my five kids and my beautiful wife . Let's be good fathers and good husbands and again thank you Heavenly Father for my membership in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

My dad came to America with nothing for himself. He worked extremely hard to provide his family and seldom spent on anything. He then met my mom and they got married in the church.My parents had four of us were a family of 6 in a two bedroom house, but no matter how hard he worked he always had time to give us everything he could. Now we live in a 4 bedroom two story house and have been blessed countless times. I love my Dad's dedication to work his way up and I'm so proud to call him my dad :)

Thank you for introducing your dad to us. He sounds amazing. I love garbage men and all people who serve us by taking the worst jobs. I try to thank them at all times for the jobs that they do So tell your dad thanks for doing that job. I’m glad he was able to take you all on holidays every year.

very touching. My son is much like his, he cannot speak a word, or use the bathroom or be unsupervised for any length of time. He has autism and MR, He is 9 now, and It's been extremely hard on our family. I wished I could give my son so much more, I want him to have a good life. I think now, after watching this video, I'm just going to love him, the way this father loves his son.

This guy is my new persoanal hero. I would love to shake this man's hand and be in the presence of greatness. When I think of what it means to be a man and a father I will think of him. This father was never a garbage man he is a treasure man! Just look at the treasures he gave to his family. I will ask for blessings to shower down on this man in my prayers today.

There are no guarantees in this mortal life, but this Father and this family did their best daily. This family has shown us that love, work and sharing lives journey together is truly a joy, a fulfillment we can all achieve. The Father has set an example for his posterity and for all around him.

This blessing has come to a temporary end in this earthlife. Willie passed away last week, his funeral was today. he had a full life, exceeding expectations. The funeral service did him justice.

Family first, provider, strength- the embodiment of Father. Bill has more than the richest man on Wallstreet. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36) Bad economies come and go not terribly affecting men like Bill because of where their heart and soul are found. We not only learn of a great man, we look inward and reflect on our lives, relationships and where they should be.

Of all the titles God could choose for himself, He has chosen for us to know him as our Father. Examples like Bill give us a glimpse of his reasoning for this.

My friend looks at his father's example......as what not to do. His father was nothing more than a presence in the house where he grew up. He was the second son in the family so it became obvious pretty early that he wasn't going to get the fatherly love, affection, approval or support that his older brother got. And the older brother ended up getting kicked out of the Mormon church.

Soo your message in this video is about figureing things out because of what this man does for his family. Yeah. I agree with it. It opens your eyes. He is a servant of the Heavenly Father. Now let me tell you something to open your eyes. Theres many things on this earth that you need to open your hearts and identity to when it comes to desire. Please understand my voice. I only raise my voice when I have't to because the real picture in life is about opening our hearts to greater things here. How do we not see or seek something greater by our own desires if we don't open our hearts to the Heavenly Father about seeking something greater? knowledge? Intellegence? Spiritual? Physical? Do you think that the lessons from the church are the only thing on earth that we are suppose to think about? Open your hearts to the Heavenly Father for him to teach you greater things. Open your minds to what you can understand greater. Please hear my voice. Open your hearts to the Father about learning greater things and greater knowledge. This is what your message truely is about. Learning greater knowledge and greater things in your life.

I know how it is to feel cut off from the rest of the world, like everyone else is sitting on high horses, so pretty and perfect but I assure you that you will always find love and hope in the church and in God as I did. You think that this family is perfect with her illness and the son's condition? They had to go through a lot to get to were they are today. You may feel imperfect, you may feel forsaken by the world, but I promise you with all my heart and soul that God will never forget you.

@tpstrat14 your comment was mean and hateful. maybe your church "forgot" you. but the church is not a building or an organization. it is the people of God. i come from a very imperfect family with serious issues but i don't share your experience regarding the church. i care about the imperfect people and families. i am the church. most people i know did not come from perfect families. even this good father is not perfect. im not Mormon so i dunno if you are being critical only of Mormon church?

Im 37 years old, from Australia and I havent seen my 3 year old son in over a year! His mother has essentially abducted him and left the state. I am going through " The System" to fing him and as you would expect I have joined many mens support groups in the process. " The System" has completely forgotten men. This has gotten me to a pretty sad state of mind. But!, I was very pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful story such as this.What a great man! Thank you, you've helped me alot.

In a good (celestial) marriage, husband and wife rely on eachother. People were not meant to live alone and be completely independant and self-suficent. We are here to interact and love one another. Together can be more perfected. I am sure that there are many ways the father in this family depends on the wife, even with limited abitlities. TOGETHER they are better.

I hope to prepare myself to be the kind of father that Bill is. I also want my children to look up to me and to know I love them, and be worthy to be called amazing and a good father.
