It actually wasn't my dad- My husband and I are wedding filmmakers. This was part of a video that we created for a bride who booked us to film their wedding day

It is possible for you. I had exactly that bond, but with a man who wasn’t my biological father. He was an amazing man and NO LESS my Dad then the man who did little more than participate in my conception and some horrors afterwards. Family isn’t just blood.

Same...sadly I never had the relationship with my father he left me when I was 3 and I’ve been told several times on social Media it was my fault that my dad left me cause I was ugly and my dad didn’t want an ugly daughter like me...so Yeah your not alone many people are in ur situation 🥺💛

Yes. My father died last year and my heart was ripped from my chest. I don’t know how I’m living without him.

solitairedoll I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. In about a 4 year span I lost, first my Tata, then a year and 3 days later my tío died and in February of 2017 my nana died. 2 weeks after she died my dad had a heart attack, thankfully he survived that and his triple bypass surgery. Even though my dad survived in a different way I kinda lost him because he has Parkinson’s disease and his personality has completely changed, he also has type 2 diabetes and he’s bipolar and he’s been suicidal. He’s finally on the right medicine for his bipolar so he’s feeling some better. After losing my Tata, tío and my nana, I’ve been in some extremely dark places and I’m so afraid of losing anyone else that I’ve built a wall around my heart and I tend to push people away which is so bad but I feel so stuck behind this wall that I’ve built. I don’t want to bring you down but I wanted to let you know I do understand loss and you are not alone.

My friend lost her dad to cancer a few years ago. Her and her sisters are fine now. But when I am with her, I think I am the only one that tries to remember not to bring my own dad up. But know that it will all work out in the end💕
