I love how the Mighty Nein's version of "laying low" is intimidating a town crier and then walking through the streets yelling "hide your kids, hide your wife".

My favorite part about this episode is that they had a 45 minute fight because a guy didn’t like a cinnamon joke

The Gentleman: "Lay low for the next few days, alright?" Jester: Attempts to desecrate a temple. Fjord: Walks into the office he caused chaos in previously and brings up the Myriad. Nott: Mails a package full of stolen goods. Caleb: Removes the magical mystery object from its anti-scrying case and activates it. Yasha: Harasses citizens for information on Xhorhas. Beau and Molly: Get high and stumble down the city streets.

Fjord: opening up and sharing a very vulnerable part of himself Caleb: INSIGHT CHECK

Beau is the epitome of "do as I say not as I do" in the last episode: "Stay in school, don't do drugs kids!" Beau this episode: *hasn't been in school for 3 years, takes shrooms*

I like how everyone is playing DND while Travis plays Call of Cthulu.

If they ever animate the Mighty Nein I want the combat to not focus on Nott at all. Like it follows everyone on their turn and occasionally we see Nott run across the screen screaming or duck behind a box in the background. We see everyone else attack but Nott's bolts come out of nowhere or are already in the monster without anyone realizing she even shot it.

Somewhere in Zadash a halfling smith is wondering when that weird tiefling is going to pick up that lead-lined box...

Ashley whispering “...hello?” into the blade and Travis just gut laughing. Perfect 👌🏻

I think its funny how Laura continues to struggle against her inner Vex. "I'm going to give her a healing potion." "NO! Those are expensive!" "Hush, you're unconscious."

Jester and Caleb interacting has me nearly dying of laughter each time. Poor Caleb has no idea what to do with her and she is having a blast messing with him.

I love that Jester’s mind is so blown by the local pastry baking techniques that it’s still on her mind as she’s trying to come up with a worthy secret to trade

Everyone else during downtime: -Doing Shrooms -Doing magic stuff -Doing Monk stuff -Pawning things off Nott during downtime: "I turn into a halfling, and spend like, an hour just being a regular person." ;-; I cried some thug tears this day.

Matt’s face when Nott revealed the vial of saliva she kept after getting the gentleman to drink the acid was amazing. You can tell he hadn’t thought of that.

I love how nott and low key the rest of the party are trying to make sure Caleb has healing potions because poor boy is squishy

I played a half orc character who, as a child, ripped out one of his own tusks. He was going to rip out the other one but his mother stopped him, then they had a talk and she was all, "You're bigger than them. Beat the snot out of them, they'll get the message." And that's how he became a barbarian.

I really love how Matt has 1-on-1 conversations with the players sometimes, so that their individual stories can progress. Edit: gods, them lying to The Gentleman gave me straight up anxiety

Did anyone notice how proud Travis is of Ashley? Every time she does something Barbarian-related he looks over at her, delighted. It's adorable.

I love the fact that everyone is eating small snacks, but Laura is going through several full-size pastries

I really like how Nott is so attached to Caleb, being a wizard is definitely costing him quite a bit of money, but because Nott is so protective of Caleb he basically gets 2 shares of the group's spoils. It offsets the cost when he's raking in twice as much.

Matt, trying his hardest to swiftly get the party through the few day rest period, while Molly and Beau are high enough to enter the Ethereal plane, Fjord is babysitting and Jester is chucking rocks at them from behind.

Laura is sitting next to Sam again, all is right with the world

Wow. I'm really surprised and disappointed that Sam didn't take the opportunity of Laura losing her notes to talk about D&D Beyond. "Tired of misplacing notes, or trying to read someone's messy handwriting. With the online storage of D&D beyond, this will never be a problem again!"

I just need to praise the captioners real quick. Not only have they been doing an incredible job catching so much cross talk as it happens, but now Liam is speaking German, and idk German but it seems like they have the actual words Liam is saying written in German script. Thank you captioners, your work and efforts do not go unnoticed

Scenario: Since finding out Nott sees Caleb as a son everyone’s just gonna start treating Caleb as their child too, giving him advise, telling him that they’re proud, Caleb’s all like “please. Look. I’m an adult man. I appreciate your concern but I do not need you all to babysit me” and they’ll just pat him on the back like “thank you for sharing that ! it’s so great that you feel comfortable enough to trust us like this !

Fjord just being able to infuse other swords into his original falchon is the coolest thing ever

I love how sam says in the tone of "i have crippling depression" "I am poisoned

I love how Travis covers his mouth to hide his smile. Anyone whose played D&D and been in a moment where it's just you and the DM knows what he's feeling. That excited giddiness where you're going, "This is my story! This is my story! This is my story!", but the tense apprehension that comes from your story coming out of someone else's mouth. You don't know what adjustments were made to fit the narrative and you just can't wait to find out.

Still blows my mind how in-character and awesome Travis has casually been all this time. In his head he's juggling using his own, real person voice to do a texan accent to mask his characters in-game real voice, and he uses his characters actual voice in moments where he's alone or in his dream sequences and it's so goddamn cool. For him to go from a big dumb barbarian boy to the groups defacto leader that makes consistently strong and sound strategies for the group, while managing his own dual identity (much like the others) has been so cool to watch. Fjord is my fuckin BOY. That's my DOG RIGHT THERE.

It took me a long time to realise this but Sam's commitment to Nott's relationship to Caleb is my favourite thing about this new campaign. That immediate and unflinching willingness at a moments notice to give him all the gold she could spare makes those two characters my personal favourites to follow!

Party: Is there anything around the waterfall? DM: No. Party: Can we tie a rope anywhere? DM: No. Party: I want to look around and see if there’s any broken ships under the water! DM: You don’t see anything. Party: I’m going to poke the waterfall with my staff. DM: (Sigh...) Yea, you poke through and find a space behind the waterfall. Party: YAY!!!

I find it incredibly adorable that with Laura pregnant, it’s like she decided she doesn’t have the energy to role play a love interest with anyone other than her actual husband lol

I wonder if they ever get stuck in the voices. I can imagine Sam goes home and screeches, "I am home" at his family in his Nott voice.

The Nott and Caleb scene is like when you tell your mom you’re going out and she slips you a $20 without you even asking 😥🥺

Caleb and Beau have a little book club going on where they read a book and give the other to read and I love it 😂

It's finally here. The reason I started watching Critical Role. It was a single image of a Half-Orc floating in water in front of a giant yellow eye, swallowing his sword with a single word: "CONSUME". I stumbled upon this image by accident, I had never heard of Critical Role at that point. But the image just immediately caught my attention. I wanted to know what it was from. And thus I embarked on a VERY long journey.

For some reason Caleb referring time himself as a ‘broken clock’ is really endearing and kind of sad
