A Feb 2020 tour of all the Lights in my house: Fluorescent HID Incandescent and LED 

I use all LED lighting in my store. It cut my electric bill 2/3 and they paid for themselves in UNDER A YEAR! Not only did Telsa invent the first light bulb, it was fluorescent. There is footage of it. It was powered through the air from his Tesla coil.

I absolutely adore the ring blacklight with the orange glowing stand! Not to mention that dimming moon nightlight.

I know OLD Video but I just found your channel and this vid reminded me of my grand parents house from the 40s with pre heat florescent lights the Light switches in the wall you held in the up position to start and once running would pop to the centre position and down for off

Classic DieselDucy lighting video. Been watching for about 7 years.

I work as a custodian in my local school district and there are some neat fixtures in some of them. Most classroom fluorescents got converted to instant start before I got my job but many of the corridors and accent lights in the schools built between 1990 and 2010 still use PL tubes that love to blink. It’s very satisfying watching a long corridor filled with PL pot lights and wall mounted accent lights blink to life. Unfortunately last year the school board started a program that is slowly replacing all fluorescents of every type to LED. I’m losing more and more of my blink happy fixtures!

The dual F4T5 night light is an awesome fixture. I now have 4 (soon 5) fluorescent fixtures in my room. Fluorescent fixtures are awesome!

watching this makes me feel better liking such things my self as i have a lot of tubes around.. sadly while mine are not starter based they are just modern electronic ballasts id like to find stuff like this some day. but have t12 fixtures about as well i mostly like the light they emit but the older stuff is just more cooler, i really wish i can find colored tubes like this as well, months ago i made a fixture out of scrap 2 x 4 that was sun bleached and made a wasteland styled fixture from salvaged parts i had all ready around with a 3ft t12.

I love your light fixtures in your house. I have some light fixtures similar to these. One GE preheat flouresent and some lithonia lightning sodium and metal halide light. I also have a circle line flouresent stored in my house that I’m going to wire up and test one day.

i have that same 13w PL fixture however mine is brown and was converted to 3XF8T5 by me and is far brighter than it was. I wish our Habitat stores had anything close to the things you find!

Wow you can really see the rain that collects in the basement. Imagine chilling down there and you see the floor is all wet all the sudden

You should get a sump pump for your basement if it floods it would be bad

You have me jealous with all those T12 colour lamps I love the colours I have some T8 colour lamps. I just ordered 6 UV black light tubes T12 40watt it cost me more on postage then the lamps them selfs

At 4:23, that is the two-lamp F8T5 fixture that used to hang in my hallway back in 2009! I believe, Andrew, that I sent you that fixture in the same box I packed the FC8T9 cloud fixture.

Suggestion you should change the bulb in black lightning for an old westy black light F4T5. That cheap black light bulb in it currently doesn’t suit an epic light.

That f15t8 black light fixture is usually not blinky with the old Phillips black ender bulb.

Do you know what can be very good use for it? You can put a normal incandescent bulb inside that bracket and use it as a studio light and when you’re done, you can just put your blacklight tube in the air and then it’s back to where it used to be.

I don’t think I would recommend you turn on your mercury vapor warm light bulb inside your house all the time because of how much voltage it takes to powered up how long is the ballast? It’s only gonna take a fraction of your house power away

What do you use to control your lights with Alexa?

That is one night collection there. I have a few pre-heats but they are far and few between in my area. Gotta save a 1955 pre-heat strip light. Little bit of rust on the outside opposite of where the ballast is mounted. Original everything including bulb, not used much just hope the rust has not gotten to the ballast. Love those eagle night lights. I did pick up one NOS leviton brown but cant find any eagle ones...... Thank you for sharing !!! I have the same Erickson HPS light !

I recommend replacing the bathroom light with a british preheat 2d fluorescent fitting by replacing the British ballast with an American preheat ballast.
