I actually didn't know tinsel was a thing until I became an adult and started consuming youtube and interior design content! We've always done ribbon, faux flowers, or both. And yeah, I hope that people re-use it each year...

I got got over my terrible social anxiety induced by a surgery at 15 that kind of disfigured my face (I hibernated for almost a year!). I got nervous anywhere I had to go or if I had to talk to people! I got over it by forcing myself to go take music lessons with a stranger and forcing myself to go do outings by myself where I had to interact with other people, and it was T E R R I F Y I N G at the time!! But after about 1 more year I was pretty much over the type of anxiety I had at the beginning, and since then it’s just been a low hum that fluctuates on a manageable level! The more I expose myself really, the lesser it is. No therapy, no drugs, just exposure - I didn’t die and it fixed the problem! I think the pandemic did this to everyone to a degree! Plus now we use tech even more to avoid interacting, which really makes it worse.
Wow! The Xmas decorations look stunning! You have such a good eye for design! What if you skip the rug under the dining table? I always worry food will drop on it or some will trip with food lol but if you want to warm up the space you could do placements and a centrepiece or something along those lines?
My dad uses tinsel - the man is 75 and saves his tinsel every year. He wraps it up in newspaper and it just doesn’t feel like Christmas without going home for the holidays and seeing tinsel all over the tree. Also anyone else call them GA - LA ? I’ve never heard anyone say gay - la ? Am I saying it wrong or is it a Canadian thing?
Also they only test strep for the 3 strains that could kill you if left untreated. But there’s lots of strains of strep you could have. So if you think you have strep- please go to the doctor and get tested cause you could have a deadly form! 👍🏻 And always complete your prescription doses! The more you knowwww
Can someone tell me what this “upper respiratory infection” going around actually is?? Because it’s 2023 and I don’t trust that shit. My voice left me earlyyy November and I didn’t have one until after Thanksgiving. Went to the doctor finally on week four. No strep. No Covid. No flu. Felt like death. I’m pretty sure we’ve all had an upper respiratory infection before. That, my friends, was NOT an upper respiratory infection I have ever been familiar with and I have heard so many people saying the same. Takes me back to that time I was extremely sick and it was brushed off. Right before Covid. Weirddd.
