2:55 actually, the church was never searched. On the day of Elisa's disappearance, after the morning, the local priest left the city for a short trip, and no one was able to get into the building. Later, police simply didn't investigate in a proper way. It's certain that someone helped covering the murder - a couple of the attic's ceiling boards were removed, right upon the body, in order to clean the air from the putrefaction's odors, and it's almost certain that others saw the body before the official discovery. The priest told that he didn't know Restivo when, in fact, he did, and he knew the entire Restivo family (which was an influential family of Potenza). I suggest everybody to look up to the case in details.

Ten Fold: You obviously know NOTHING of what the training entails: It's gruesome. Here's a reply I made earlier: To another who criticised the 999 Handler: I suggest you think it through...... "The dispatcher had already said units were on their way...... before that conversation took place. Probably trained to keep the caller on the line to try and instill calm... As these calls are recorded, many clues are often given that the caller...later, in shock...fails to remember: It is "step one" of evidence gathering. (Yes... she lost it a bit, given the words of the young lad..... but come on, who wouldn't? It was horrific. No training could prepare you for those details.) Your remembrance of the call itself is totally incorrect too..... (What a witness you'd make) She was on her back on the bathroom floor..... The question of the dispatcher "Who has done that?" was VERY professional: The lad could have responded.... "Uncle Fred, I think"...... another clue in the subsequent investigation....also, she was keeping a young, frightened lad, on the phone, away from the crime scene...to avoid contamination of the crime scene itself." Now, do you see? It is vital evidence gathering from Moment One: The Call For Help.

Watching this documentary, I can safely say Restivo murdered Yong Ok Shin. Although Ok-Shin was not killed in an identical way, the neighbors reported screaming, indicating Restivo didn’t get enough time to finish what he started. Ok Shin lived 3 streets away from Restivo, and Restivo is a well known person in Italy and feared. All three of them were murdered on the twelfth, and I recall all of Restivo’s victims being short and having black hair. How did Restivo know it was done with a chef’s knife, that information was kept confidential. This B.B. character makes it so much harder! B.B. had made 2 false allegations, now COME ON detectives is that not enough to prove it is false? And COME ON Police is that not enough to prove Restivo’s guilt? The twelfth, the hair, the fact he know about the chefs knife being used, an identical knife that exact size being found in his car. Even if he did not do it, it doesn’t excuse him from murdering 2 people. Peace

I don't think Okis murder was opportunistic bc : A) lack of forensics. No one just randomly attacks someone and magically doesn't leave dna/any other forensic s B) they were wearing a mask, when do you ever see someone just randomly wearing a mask without being up to something? C) Oki was taking her friend home and just down the road she gets attacked, surely she was being followed? D) like she said, he wasn't finished and dint have time to because she screamed, he was meticulous but all other crimes were solitary? Like elisa was in the church, the mother was in her home (was there another?) he took a risk on Oki, upping the risk factor and she screamed and gave him up bc of that
@tyler1714
@tyler1714 5 лет назад
Also he has a point in saying that despite the evidence being circumstantial, so was the evidence for Omar a d he got out away with thag, meanwhile they don't even give the other bloke a second look, why? He'd been accused/sentenced before and somehow he isn't even considered in a crime where a lot of the evidence is similar to that of his other crimes, I mean come on. The clump of hair, how does that happen?

Danilo Restivo (born 3 April 1972) is an Italian convicted murderer. Restivo is serving a life sentence with a 40-year tariff for murdering his neighbour Heather Barnett in 2002.[1] Investigators' suspicions that Restivo had murdered Barnett were raised because of his alleged involvement in the 1993 disappearance of Elisa Claps in Potenza, but he was not charged due to insufficient evidence.[2] Subsequent to the 2010 discovery of Claps's body, Restivo was tried for the murder of Barnett, with evidence of similarities in ritualistic placing of hair on the bodies of Claps and Barnett being heard by the English court.[3] He was found guilty of murdering Barnett,[4] and later found guilty in his absence for murdering Claps by an Italian court.[5]

RUBBISH.... Think! Before you write such drivel. The recording of the call is key evidence...she kept the lad away from the crime scene...Thus protecting evidence.... She tried to extract information from the lad: Asking him questions that could have solved the case & identified the killer.... stuff the poor kid could have forgotten when the shock hit him..... It is all part of the system..... Keep the caller online....(Even if it's a hoax call)...it all helps. These people are not bereavement counselors... that's another field completely. They are a key, VITAL, part in the initial evidence gathering. What the lad said on the phone could have identified the killer immediately. What part of that, do you not get? Mmm?

I'm perplexed as to WHY, in regards to the 'clump'/lock of hair left at Oki's murder site, that it hasn't been investigated further??? I question this, due to the fact that Restivo, having made an appointment to 'pop' over on the pretence of having some cutains made, had DELIBERATELY left a clump of hair BELONGING to a DIFFERENT UNKNOWN WOMAN at the muder scene of the mother who was sadly discovered butchered at her home by her poor children!!! Surely, that would go as far as to carry some weight or significance in reinforcing the probability of Oki's killer being Restivo...Or at the very least, gain access to the police archives to obtain the Mothers murder investigation report? When the Police, actually investigating the Mothers murder searched Restivo's house/car (sorry, can't remember which?), they discovered many 'clumps'/locks of hair...and were unable to trace many of the women that they belonged too! Further leading them to believe, that he had murdered more women than they had originally thought!!! I don't know if there is still an investigation into the possibility of him having murdered more women (as some investigations can run in the background for years) but, whether there is or not, I'm sure that the Police Force (who are/were investigating him) would be keen to know if there is any link so that they may 'add' or 'dismiss' the possibilty themselves too? Not to mention...they have all of the information & evidence regarding Restivo, and therefore, would more likely 'know', more than anyone else, if it is a 'considering' factor?! Actually, because he would take some of his victims hair and leave someone else's...THEN... the Police Force who investigated Restivo might even HAVE OKI'S HAIR???

Plain unability of Italians polices/investigation due to their rules of recommendation that this man had been let loose for a long time, while he's been killing lots of people and its been hidden, protected than those who should had caged him, and those children today would had still had their mommy.

To the 999 operator in this episode: I hope you feel completely ashamed of yourself. This kind of job is not something you just do because 'it's a job' , you are responsible for getting the right help to people who are often experiencing the worst and most confusing moments of their lives. Let's hope this person never needs reassuring help in a similar situation only to get the same treatment.

Why do our police and detectives in any country so horrible at solvinh some real obvious crimes? It is everywhere in each place, especially if they are foriegn to that country. Over 17yrs and he has impulses in that way, the probability that there are more victims is high. Very high He more than likely has changed up the way he does things somewhat over the years, seems opportunistic which means some he will have more time for than others. Opportunistic does not mean each one will be hurried. It only means he does this when he has the opportunity. He has a history of stalking as do most of his type and so will have victims he knew and ones he did not. This is been happening for decades, how can the courts act so ill informed?

Ep 5. A bad conviction indeed. I have doubts. The Hampshire police, should take a long hard look at themselves. This should be reopened.

I was so disappointed in hearing that this filthy guy killed again, in England. It is amazing how italian authorities didn't act according to what everyone knew: it was not a secret, he was guilty and evetyone knew it.

The poor Italian family and those poor children finding their mum dead and having to describe the situation to the police over the phone..some times I do think we need another debate on capital punishment for the very sickest criminals.
