I'd like to hear an interview with you asking Leffe hiking questions. Why he does it. Why he helped you. What are his ambitions in relationship to hiking. Then he could interview you. Worst times so far, best of times etc,
Another iceaxe troll, this from the guy who claims he's done the AT NOBO and SOBO which is bs. Shoudn't be talking about others, needs to clean his own mind instead.
How do you say goodbye to someone who has shared a tent, bandaged your wounds, rescued you crossing a river, made you laugh and treated you like the beautiful woman that you are? The Penobscot Indians believed Katahdin was a place of new birth, a place of beginnings. Since the beginning of time man has sought out the high places. The divine spark within him, yearning to know his creator. Stella and Leffe I hope the mountain continues to speak to you for years to come.
I have followed several hikers every year since retiring five years ago and you did one of the best jobs documenting the hardships and joys. It is sad every year when hikers I enjoy reach the summit .Hope you will continue to share your adventures and update on Leffee.
I hope Leffie helped to mend your broken heart ( post divorce) because you looked so much happier after he joined you on trail. I will miss your daily posts and wish you both much happiness in the future.
In time, people may forget what you did or what you said. However, people will always remember how you made them feel. “You can never be sure of what someone is truly made of until they make it through something that really sucks." - Anonymous Marine With that said, for me, during your grueling hike, you have been, clever, creative, eloquent, grateful and a true vessel of adoring inspiration for the human soul. 👏🏻Cheers to Leffee! Best wishes to you as you continue on your hike in Virginia and Pennsylvania. Be well. Be safe! Happy Trails!
I know nothing about hiking and I am not sure why your channel was recommended to me. I am so glad it was. I cried and cheer for you and Leffee when you finished. I also cried when you told us Coyote had made it too. I have gone to the beginning of your channel and watching all your hikes. I am now a hiking fan. Thank you!!❤
Stella, thank you for allowing us to be apart of your life these past months. Life is filled with hello’s and goodbye’s. They both bring richness to life.
Thanks for taking us along. My wife (who struggles to step out of her comfort zone) really was impressed with your fearless independence. Stealth car camping, solo hiking etc. She isn't interested in the other hikers I follow but loved to watch your trek of the AT.
You must be so relieved -- but it must be a bit bittersweet too. Is Leffe going to vlog his final 800 miles? I hope he does! He has a built-in audience!
Hey Stella, would you go back for the section hike with Leffe to hike his final section? It’s nice seeing y’all finish and celebrate this together! I enjoyed the relaxed vibe
For your live: 1.Does Leffe and Cayote have a RU-vid channel? 2. Saw your & Sara's trail food & protein bar taste tests. Did you do any of those foods on the AT? 3. Your take on your AT journey-what would you do differently/same? 4. Comparing other trails...seemed the AT is better with a friend? 5. Saw other vlogs-some had networks in place as many trail angels, family, friends and other support. Thoughts? 6. What apps did you use on the trail? 7. Thoughts on tents, tarp, and cowboy camping. Looking forward to hearing more from you as you transition to 'normal life'...whatever that is!
What a wonderful experience to reach your final goal !! Whoop! Whoop! Remember, some people come into our lives, leave footprints on our heart, and we are never truly the same! The two of you are awesome together and make a great couple. Take care my friends. ❤❤😂😂😊😊❤❤
I will always remember your infectious laugh. You are so positive and inspirational. Also, Leffee seemed to be just what you needed near the end when you were physically and emotionally drained. He seems to have a heart of gold. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Leffee looks like a handsome spy in the “drink” shot lol 🌸hope you both enjoyed this needed break and best of luck. Who will film Leffees next 800 miles?😂
Best of luck to Leffe for his last @800 miles. Best of luck to you with your move and gathering your belongings from various states. I know my mornings are going to be different for a while. I would love to see 1) favorite states 2) least favorite states 3) opinions on ATC refusing to maintain water wells for all those dry miles 4) gear reviews 5) looking back what you would do differently or what you would keep the same whether that's gear OR mindset OR rest cycles OR speed Take care, and I wish you the best.
In your live videos, it would be interesting to hear about how you’re feeling “post hike”. Every day you’ve gotten up, hit the trail and worked toward achieving a goal. How are you handling the emotions of the goal being complete? My journey will take a very long time as I’m doing short sections. Blood mountain to Neels Gap next weekend and my husband as agreed to go with, finally! I enjoyed the after-hike video. I have so many questions lol.
It’s been a pleasure watching you on this journey. I think you and Lefty go together like “peanut butter and Jelly” . Hope to see more of your hiking journeys in the future. Best wishes to you both!
I’ll miss seeing you and leffee. The two of you were so enjoying to watch. I am like others on here . Your face literally never lost its smile after the two of you started hiking together. He was so sweet to you and helped you in times of need. Happy Hiking ⛺️🥾💞
What a wonderful adventure you shared with all of us. I was inspired by your courage, fortitude and kindness. You were honest and true in sharing your experiences and I hope you felt the prayers and love of your followers during your trip. I have a great friend who's following your footsteps at 63, hoping to complete the AT as well, he's in West Virginia now, a little slower going than you but determined. Best of luck to you in your next endeavors! To Leffe as well.
I think you found a good hike partner and friend wth Leffe 👍 I would like to know how you felt mentally and physically to going back in your life now after such a long hike I mean back in civilization and routine it must be so special Stella 💚
thank u for sharing your journey, stella! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! YOU DID IT! when u asked about which videos we would b interested in watching: i am interested in hearing how your days and weeks transitioning to society were when you got back to florida. did you experience post trail depression? i love the videos of you just drinking coffee/tea, journaling in the morning, and reflecting after your long journey. i don't know why, they are just so cozy!
I saved this video, watching it in bits and pieces throughout the day. It is definitely bittersweet. I hope you are able to join Leffe for his last 800 miles, or at least trail Angel him when he’s back on-trail this fall. Have you decided where you will settle until the next adventure takes you?
Congratulations again! I hope you don't have horrible post trail depression like I did last winter. The trail was my number one bucket list item. I was lost for months afterward. It takes a long time to feel like you are back in modern society. I had to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. The trail changed me in unexpected ways. It taught me that I can do anything if I want it enough. I recently got my CDL and want to drive everywhere. I plan on hiking the PCT and CDT in a few years after I save up a ton of money. I will be a triple crowner in this life!!!
Congrats🎉 so happy for your accomplishment and meeting a special friend along the way. I have a friend that I am in touch with and he just entered Connecticut today.
Agreed with all the comments, you have been inspirational, delightful, raw, gracious and a superstar for finishing the way you both did. Thank you, look forward to seeing more!!
It's still fresh in the mind, isn't it? Nice finish and happy you both got back home, not much the worse for wear. Finally saw a moose. Be well, stay safe.😉
I hope everything went well with getting your car back, driving across the country and possibly moving already! Will be excited to see what your post hike life is like!
Congratulations & have followed you since Glacier! Please do a thorough gear review, so we can see what equipment holds up on a thru-hike. Any idea where we will find you hiking next??!!
Congratulations on finishing the triple crown. I started watching 4 people's AT through hikes this year. 2 got off trail and the 3rd went home for a break, you were the only one that hiked straight through. You were the only one who had a hiking partner most of the trip, so when I do my hike I'll have to find someone to go with to keep me focused
I bet it felt so surreal to be in Bar Harbor amongst all the people and not be doing all the "town things" and planning your next days journey. Congratulations to you both and thanks for having us along! ❤
I've enjoyed so much following your AT hike! Way to persevere, it was an inspiring journey to be able to follow along with so regularly. I'm happy for you that you made it! :). Best of luck with your future adventures!
Will Leffe and you meet soon? Could you imagine hiking his rest of the trail with him in fall? Or maybe join him for some time? Does Leffe like to read and journal, too, or has he picked it up from you? 😊 i love your idea of sharing your trail knowledge with people, thank you so much.
This post was so beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing your time after the trail with us! Bar Harbor looks amazing!! I hope all is well with you and I am really looking forward to seeing your next post whenever that comes. I would love to hear your opinions on your gear choices, and what you would do differently if you could do it all over again. Also for us “more mature” people😆 what advice would you give to make the through hike, especially up in New Hampshire and Maine? I would be hiking alone, so what kind of advice can you give us regarding trail safety for us girls🥰💗
I’m hoping that Stella will announce when she is doing her live. It would be fun to somehow include Leffe for Q and A. Missing your videos Nyx!! Can’t wait to hear more. ❤
Congratulations on completing your AT hike! I have enjoyed watching your journey and wish you the best with your future endeavors. Thanks for allowing us to follow along with you on the trail.
Congratulations on your thruhike and your steely will under pain and deprivation to pull through something like this! Congratulations also to all others! And thanks to all the people who have supported you! It would be much harder without them.
My husband and I have been watching you since the beginning of this trip. This was not an easy journey, but you did it! I’m happy you found a great friend and hiking companion in Leffie - I could see the difference having company made, especially in NH and Maine mountains. I hope your next stage in life goes well as you move to Colorado, and good luck to Leffie when he finishes up his flip flop this fall!
Please do a video on Top Surprises on the AT; things you didn’t expect, things you expected but didn’t experience, pleasant surprises, unpleasant surprises.
Heard a loon calling in the first few seconds of your video. What a lovely, haunting sound. And a moose by the roadside. How cool is that! Thanks for taking us with you and Leffee as you take a few days to re-orient to life off the trail and to rest. Well deserved!
We will miss your daily vlogs! Such a fun adventure for us to tag along with you! Did Leffe vlog his hike? Keep us updated on what you’re doing! You feel like family and we will miss seeing you daily!
A well deserved celebration for a hike well done! The food and drinks looked great and it looked like you both really enjoyed. The months of hiking, hard times and good times will be with you always. You've both been thru an experience that made you stronger and a time of growth. Hopefully you and Leffee can get together again. Wishing you both all the best.
Stella you stole our hearts, my wife and I. Greatest moment was your finish yet the saddest. We first saw your CDT videos. Hope you continue blazing on trails once you are recouped. Love from the Cowles family.
My husband and I have followed you since the beginning. We’re very proud of you Stella, and thank God you completed the Trail safely! Congratulations 🎉🎈🎊 Keep all of us posted as to what’s next ❤
New here! Well , sort of…I’ve been watching your channel since day 85ish, I’ve also watched Taylor’s channel and yours popped up after. So anyway, I officially subscribed! You are an inspiration you are brave and fearless! I won’t be hiking the AT, but will be hiking Zion np in Oct 2024. You’ve helped me so much to get a visual of how to plan ahead. Congratulations to you and Leffee! I hope you two stay great friends! Or more…there I said it! You mentioned perhaps, starting a consulting type of business. Could you talk about that a bit more in your live. Best to you!
I have enjoyed the rawness of your postings. Now I see how very hard the AT is. Wear your legs proudly, they served you well over all those miles! I’m glad you went into Acadia NP, it is gorgeous there as well as Mount Desert Island. Looking forward to see what you do next, whether it be hiking, coaching or writing.
Congratulations Stella! You have much to be proud of, what an amazing accomplishment! Time to rest your body and recover! Thank you for sharing your journey!
Your vlogs are a true testament to what its like to thru hike the AT. The ups and downs and everything in between!! I so enjoyed your journey!! Enjoy your summer and congratulations on a huge achievement
Aw, this video got me in the feels. It hadn't really sunk in that you were done. Transitions are so difficult (for me anyway). Going back to "life", the noise, and the occasional "why did I come back?" Too bad you and Leffe didn't have more time. Portland is a gorgeous Maine city on the ocean. Look forward to a live Nyx. 😊 Thank you again for this gift. ✌️
Thanks for taking us along and sharing your mental and physical journey on the AT. I always looked forward to starting my day seeing what you were up to. Best wishes to you and Leffe❣️
Congratulations on your completion of the Appalachian Trail! Some nouney, and thanks for sharing the hike with us these past three months! Are you and Lefty now an *item*, or just close friends? Any future hikes on your schedule, once you "recover" from this experience?
Many warm wishes congratulations to you for all of your achievements in life.A most determined person who overcomes all obstacles and is peacefully smiling at the end.Happy 4th of July to you and yours.
You were in Bah Harbor when I was there! I hope you loved it as much as my family. We go there every summer. I’ve always thought it would be the perfect ending to an AT thru hike.
Hi Stella. Here my questions for the live: since I’ve watched you on the PCT, CDT and AT, how do you compare them? Would love to hear your views about the amenities, difficulty, time on trail. Are you going to section hike the CDT this summer? Would you have taken a tent instead of a tarp to the 100mile? And in NE in general? So glad to see you made it to Acadia! We were there on the Schoodic side camping. Thanks!
It's so hard to believe that your hike is over for the AT. And for you two to go to different cities or town. I wish you both the best ever. Take care and keep us all updated on your new hikes, and even if you two hike together again soon in the near future. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Congrats, again Stella . . . on completing The Triple-Crown👸. You accomplished them all, with such aplom and strength of character. A major trekking accomplishment. I live in FL, west coast . . . stay in touch.
Awe 😍. On your live, would love to know what would you do differently if you had the chance to redo the AT or in hindsight what would you change. Also, you journaled often, do you feel that you grew more spiritually on this hike? Your CDT was quite challenging, but I think in a different way; you seemed more peaceful and open. Anyways. Thanks for the journey! Best of luck with everything 🫂
It must have been a bummer that you two had to part ways. That thought made me think about your doggy friend. Do you know what happened to him? I'm sad for me that I don't have your adventures to follow now, but I'm glad for you that you're finally done with the AT. Maybe it's time for me to have some adventures of my own. Thanks for the journey!
Congratulations again on your graduation of the class of 23 ,always thought of doings it ,was following you from the beginning to the end ,has well has others ,frizzle chasing blazes ,a girl I use to work with ,rnuie and unioacon happiest known time ,and couch to trail ,you all had similar and different prospective s on the trail ,good luck with your future ventures ,!!!!
I so enjoyed following along on your journey. Thanks for sharing the adventure with us. I don't know what I am going to do with myself in the mornings now, I have gotten used to waking up and watching your vlog ;-)
