Writing certain goals down and having them not come true is so relatable. Thanks for sharing Tyla, I feel so seen and accepted from your content and vulnerability.

my life style feels completely different, I'm not big into touching, what I mean is, seeing that party, bumping into people, I don't like brushing up against someone as in those light touches, handshakes being another thing. I don't really like using phones, it feels forced like everyone has to

Haha I was very much not getting involved with that mosh pit and handshakes freak me out. But all of that stuff is up to you even using a phone

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much would you say running/cardio has helped your mental health? How long has running been a part of your daily routine? I have recently started doing it on a regular basis but have found myself slacking during the winter months. From where did you hear about L-Tyrosine? Do you understand its basic neurophysiological function? (If you do, excuse me for potentially coming off as pedantic here) Essentially it is analogous to L-Tryptophan, the stuff you find in Thanksgiving Turkey that makes people sleepy. Whereas the amino acid L-Tryptohan metabolizes into the neurotransmitter melatonin, L-Tyrosine does so with Dopamine. With that said, if you take any sort of stimulant or any other dopaminergic substance (even recreationally) L-tyrosine can potentially be a burden (or, if done right, a boon). If the L-tyrosine did spark a depressive episode for you, it likely had a consequence on your dopamine levels; however, being over the counter, unless you are ingesting ungodly amounts, it is unlikely that l-tyrosine by itself was the culprit, but you definitely made the right move by not taking it. Even for those of us who do benefit from taking it, its benefits are fairly minimal.

Hey :). It's kind of weird for us, or at least me!, non-frizzy hair people to see brown people use wigs. If I had your kind of hair, I would do a mini afro and get it curly (through products, or one product). Oh, I would love that on me! Not having my straight, but thick hair going into different directions (where I don't want to grow them) because of my hair whorl. Well, I guess it's people wanting to have things they don't have.

What we're *not* going to do is comment critique or pass judgement on how a black woman chooses to style her hair.

@@TylaGrant Critque? I'm not saying what you should do. I'm saying what I would do. The emphasis is on "would", because I don't know what I would want if I really had African hair being another person.

Do you know how hard afro hair is to deal with? Wigs are literally a saving grace. Yeah it might seem simple to style for you because you don't have it. It requires patience and effort.

@@juzahyodo3706 It came across to me for several years now that brown women have issues with their hair (fyi, I hope nobody feels offended cos I'm saying "brown". I had a Nigerian boyfriend, he insisted that people should say brown because it actually is "brown", not "black". Also had friends and have one friend from West Africa who don't have any problem with me saying so. And I do it because "African" is actually a person from Libya, too. So that's why I do it, and I'm fine with people saying bipoc, black etc. And first and foremost I think we shouldn't pay more attention to things than they deserve, for example: I'm fine with me saying I have autism instead of saying "I'm autistic". I'm ok with it.) So back to topic: I just wish people would know how I struggle with my hair. It's not all white people having my issues (just because I'm white). I think it's only people with roots from southern regions, like Mediterranean people, having thick hair at the same time. Also, as I mentioned, I have these hair whorls (more than one) which are very annoying. My hairdresser once said: "Wow, your hair [goes into that direction again...]." Btw at this point: Did you know there's a link between hair whorl and neurodevelopmental disorders? Anyways, so, if I had kind of frizzy hair my hair growing into different directions wouldn't be obvious. Also, the way that new hair grows out of my head 🤦‍♀... and other things. I should really do a Shorts video or an Instagram Reel or something to show what I struggle with. I mean: I get it, I got Tyla emotional, but she got me emotional, too, when I saw those scenes. I hope I made it clear that you don't need afro hair to have issues dealing with your hair 😅🙂. And also: Tyla, you have a nice head shape!

@@cani.j Yes, I agree everyone can have hair issues. I'm sorry you feel that way, but you know everyone struggles in a different way and afro hair can be just as debilitating as hair whorls. I am looking forward to a RU-vid short if you do make one though! 😊
