Right on now you can make your own belts and the plows are in great shape! I hated digging into the frost to do sewer and water connections and after you get through the frost the warm mud and the frozen bucket meet and it builds up and up and up and by the time you’re ready to backfill there’s a little hole in the middle of the bucket about the size of a five gallon bucket and it’s midnight and you know you have a grave to dig out the next day so you get the equipment home so now it’s 1 AM and you get the tiger torch out it takes 2 hours to get the bucket un thawed you go home and now it’s 4 AM so it would hardly pay to go to bed! I don’t miss those days at all but my point is that is a really good idea on your bucket I am surprised it didn’t catch on more!😀🇨🇦
You’ve explained the experience to a T. The only way you could explain that way is having experienced it many times. When I first saw it I thought it was a great idea.
Hi Geoffrey, love that splicing machine. Too small for the 'conveyer belts' at my work, though!! Ha ha. And I agree with the other comments about how cool that bucket is. Also, probably a good idea to scrap the backhoe attachment, I can tell you from experience that they take way longer to fix up than you might think!! Ha ha ha!!
I don’t know if I ever told you what my old friend would say. If you are doing something you’ve never done before figure out how long you think it will take and multiply by 3, but I think it’s closer to multiply by 5.
