I have a couple of this same heater as well and they only require 200 watts so using them with a power station makes sense to me and I do as well. In a small space they work good.
Right on time! Heating elements take so much energy to use even though you may think it would piggy back off of the electricty (heat) already being provided to it in the first place. Yeh with any of the heaters be they small or larger, I just prefer having a larger Wh unit, nothing less than 1000Wh if possible.
My number 1 tip for electrical novices is buy a watt meter- brew a pot of coffee, run a space heater, run a microwave. People learn a lesson in energy consumption real quick.
Yes, most new power stations are "fast-charge capable" and can be fully charged in about 1 hour. Which makes them the perfect companion of a gas generator since you'll only need to run it for an hour here-n-there instead of continuously. 👍

@@SoGenFan I always found that if electric blankets were making me warm, my sleep didn't seem right. The electric blanket was more to keep the chill away and let body heat and regular blankets do their job.
You realize you don't need a pure sine inverter for a heater, right? Right on with the 12V heated blanket. Also get an old Wool military blanket to put over it!
True, but I always recommend getting a power station with a pure sine inverter, because ultimately you will end up using it for other things that should only be used with a pure sine wave (like electronics).
has anyone used a 120v 75watt ceramic bulb? i have a pup tent i may put in van to condense the heated space as well. heated blanket seem okay too thats a good idea
USB won't run a heated blanket. 12v will though. See the description. 12v doesn't need an inverter (it uses a "converter" but converting DC to DC is much more efficient than an "AC inverter").
Thanks but I don't know what you mean by '12v' - I assumed you meant one that plugs into the cigarette lighter, but the power station I was looking at didn't seems to have one of those holes. It did have a usb slot tho. However, I can't find a heated blanket with usb that is big enough, which is just aswell as you seem to be saying they don't exist ? I have def seen them, but they look a bit flimsy and I want a double electric blanket as I have been told it won't rinse my battery like a heater would. Trouble is, I can only find double leccy blankets with household plugs on them, which you say will use more power. Any ideas?
The heater runs on only 200 watts so why would anyone in the cold only have it on for only a few minutes, that's not why I have a power station. Buy a battery operated heating blanket and run the My Heat on the power station, watch TV and eat a sandwich and you will be fine till the power is back on.
They need to stop advertising as a survival tool . People think heating a space in a grid down scenario . The advertising has been deceiving to the average lay person
