‪@bestservice‬ THE SCORE from ‪@SONUSCORE‬ is a powerful what I would call idea incubator. This video introduces you to the concept and sound of this amazing instrument and compositional tool. THE SCORE goes very deep in the ways you can customize and implement not only the STORIES but also generate melodies with the LEAD instruments included in a separate Kontakt instrument.
• A perfectly matched scoring toolbox, guiding you from the start to the end of your composition
• A massive, colorful instrument palette: 46 orchestral, 37 synth, 20 band, 34 world and 18 drum instruments and more (160 in total)
• 120 animated Stories to inspire you. Each Story includes four different arrangements with a vast dynamic range, meant to help you spin your own musical tale
• Various groundbreaking power tools: Chord Studio, Melody Studio, Dynamic Mixer, Adaptive Customizer, MIDI export
• The Score uses the FREE KONTAKT 7 Engine from ‪@NativeInstruments‬

The Score is such a deep Kontakt instrument that there was no way to cover everything here. My goal is to introduce you to the concepts and sounds that are presented. Another aspect of The Score is the ability to make it your own through customizing the STORIES and INSTRUMENTS. Enjoy this Joyful Journey into The Score!

Dreams do come true. Improvising is basically calling on the fragments of musical memories you have experienced throughout your lifetime and calling on them in that particular moment to create something new. Thanks for watching.

Great tool for quick work, but, for amateur composers, it takes away the illusion of handling each instrument separately. Your videos are impressive. You have a great sense of harmony. Thank you.

I love your videos. When I need to know how a library sounds, I'm always hoping you have one ready to watch. So amazing what's available for us to create with these days. Just bought a couple of the UJAM bundles from your reviews too. Amazing, realistic sounds, and perfect to get ideas going quickly. Thanks for all you do! I love that you know Clifford too. Funny movie, in kinda of a creepy way, lol.

Excellent use of Stream Deck. Did you ever make a video of how you programed/customized your Stream Deck?
@PraiseTracks
@PraiseTracks 10 месяцев назад
Thanks Ric, no video yet. I would say I did not do anything that special regarding the Stream Deck as its main function is to allow me to switch between scenes and such inside of OBS. Regarding OBS, that is where the work really happens as far as setting up your various sources and how they interact and integrate into your scenes. There is so much to learn. Thanks for watching.

Hello there, this sounds great, but I think you did something with Opus. What is the difference? Is this Score better in learning orchestration than Opus? Is it beneficial? There is a lot at stake in investing and there are so many libraries. Thank you for your time, Simone.

No worries 😉 The interesting thing is that Sonuscore is responsible for not only developing The Score but also the new Opus Orchestrator. The Score concentrates things in a slightly more accessible way, but you still are working with Kontakt. They have done an admirable job in getting the most mileage that they can out of it, The Score engine is very powerful. Opus is built around the East West libraries which can be purchased sometimes as a perpetual license or you can opt in for the Composer Cloud subscription. The benefit of a subscription is that you could potentially try it for a month or two to see how you liked the sounds and workflow. Be prepared to have some storage space. I would say neither would help you learn orchestration in particular. With a basic course and practically any orchestral library collection you could start learning the basics. These tools are great to get ideas started but shine even more when you have that basic understanding of the actual orchestra itself. Sorry for the long rambling but I hope it can help point you in a more confident direction. Thanks so much for watching.

I'm really torn about this - it looks like great fun, and they've really evolved the concept from TOC, to EW orchestrator, and now to The Score. However, I have TOC, and find it's fun to just play about with, but what I thought I would use it for, namely sketching things out, and then exporting the MIDI and changing things up, either with different instruments or manipulating the midi, doesn't really happen - it feels too much of a stretch to rethink their version, and then come up with my own, because their sound is so baked in, that it becomes difficult to mentally escape from it, and write something new; it feels easier to start from scratch if you want something original. So, as a toy to play with, it's a ton of fun, but the high crossgrade price doesn't quite justify it for me, I think. If you don't have TOC though, then I would say this is all you need for a lot of fun. Congrats to Sonuscore for yet more innovation - really pushing the bounds of possibility with their libraries. Great walkthrough as always - thank you.

Yes, I think you have some great points. Previous users of The Orchestra Complete have made a large investment ready, so as you mention the leap to The Score would be a little painful. And conversely if you did not have The Orchestra Complete then The Score would be the obvious choice in order to get the most out of the refined feature set. Thanks so much for watching and sharing, I really appreciate the support. Joyfully!

What I've found most valuable with The Score is muting the lead/melodic stuff and keeping the "wall" of accompaniment instruments. For example, playing a basic chord sequence with only a Ronroco, Bass Tar, and Lute providing a nice bed for a track. Letting the string sustains and horns come in just gets a bit silly. If this product had been released like that - more of a modern competitor to the Traveler patches in UVI World Suite 2 - it'd make a lot more sense and be nicely focused.

I completely hear you when you said that you cannot escape the sound of TOC (or any animation/arp tool) and failing to make it your own. Your ear just needs more practice on what you can come up with from these animation presets. What I am doing is when I play a preset and listen to it carefully, I am trying to draw a track structure in my mind (intro, act 1, act 2, climax, outro) that fits the mood of the preset. It's hard in the beginning but with more practice/brainstorming you'll find how inspiring these tools are. They make you think and imagine how your track is going to end up. This is an example track that I completely wrote it with the help of TOC's inspiration. When the track is done, I keep the animation preset plays in the background but with some changes inside TOC itself. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-87UR9t6KAaQ.html

Is it possible to input your 3rd party libraries? If not does anybody know the best way to mix various libraries in one program?
@PraiseTracks
@PraiseTracks 16 дней назад
Not directly, but you can export MIDI from the engine parts to drop into your DAW tracks where you could then use other sounds. Mixing libraries is always a little tricky as you are dealing with instruments being recorded in different spaces, which in that case you would use a close mic perspective and route the instruments to some sort of unified Room Reverb (convolution, Seventh Heaven, Samplicity, whatever you might have). This was you are creating your own space and placing the various instrument libraries into the new room together. This is most effective when using DRY presets or mic perspectives if they are available. I hope that helps.

@PraiseTracks from your experience does the orchestra complete 3 offer alot of one key multipatterns like the score with just pushing 1 button?
@PraiseTracks
@PraiseTracks 2 месяца назад
Yes, and you also get the individual instrument sections to play with as well. It does take a little while to wrap your head around how the engine works. I did a video on The Orchestra a little while ago. You can check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vXD7wPTzBkE.html

I've seen from almost all videos of people just kinda messing only with the stories and presets, but I am wondering with the The Score if you can play all the instruments it has available by themselves? Like completely by themselves not attached to anything else and can modify said instrument to its core, changing it to your own personal likeness. Cause I've read on their website that you can build your own score off of like the stories, presets n such, but also can completely start off from scratch choosing a single instrument, yet no video showcases that, its always showcasing the stories and presets. And my second question would be, comparing The Score to TOC3, how much more does The Score offer than TOC3? Like if I were to buy The Score or TOC3, which one would give me more tools, instruments n such to work with?
@PraiseTracks
@PraiseTracks 8 месяцев назад
So, The Score is somewhat of a progression from The Orchestra as far as the engine. You can create your own stories from scratch and they do offer from what I can tell most instruments as stand alone playable versions. I would say TOC3 might have more overall in terms of orchestral instrument detail, whereas The Score tries to give you instruments in different genres. What They did with The Score was expand what you could do with the animated performances by doubling the slots available and tying in some intelligent automated playability. What would be incredible is to add The Score’s story engine but utilize TOC3 sound set (just thinking out loud here). I need to revisit The Score as the functionality was a little overwhelming at first. You know what they say about having more power. Thanks for watching and ai hope I helped at least in a small way. Stay tuned as I always try and share new discoveries or present responses to viewer comments like this one. Joyfully yours.

@@PraiseTracks Hmm, okay I see. did a little more looking around and so far I have only found 1 video that is playing around with the instruments by themselves, they aren't messing with the preset stories n such. I guess for a 3rd question, would I still be able to, with The Score and utilizing my creativity and imagination to the fullest, be able to create complex, diverse and in-depth soundtracks?

Nathan, I am so sorry. Do you own any of THE Orchestra titles? I would say that The SCORE is an attempt to refine the idea of The Orchestra approach, especially the performance engine. The Score does give you a lot more that you can do within one instance of the instrument whereas using The Orchestra there are limitations to how you can customize the performances. It is always disappointing for me when a viewer feels they have made a wrong decision. It challenges me to be more aware of how to present things in the future, especially a title like this with a large scope of ideas and approaches. Don't give up exploring what The Score is capable of as you might be pleasantly surprised. Thanks for watching along with the feedback.

@@PraiseTracks It’s a good product for what it is, but I was under the impression that it did a lot more. To me, it’s very similar to the orchestra and Elysion . I still use it on occasion so I shouldn’t say I regret buying it.
