I never realized how gorgeous some of these games were until playing them myself. 90's pixel art is an era that can never truly be replicated. It reminds me of that sweetspot in time when CGI was still impractical to use for movies so it was used sparingly to enhance practical effects.

Somebody on the dev team must've lost a lot of lunch money to a Juggernaut player for them to single him out like that.

This collection is a godsent and every franchise should have this treatment

I've been playing a ton of MvC2, and I've been getting absolutely smoked since I've never played before, but I've still been having a great time. One thing I've really appreciated so far is how respectful all the long-time players are. Yes, they're naturally beating me, but you can tell a lot of them are just excited to have more people playing the game at all, and that enthusiasm has kept my motivation to play high.

i am 23 years old. COTA is older than I am and I am having a blast getting washed online by COTA community pillars and doing psylocke corner loops. I said i was gonna get nasty at COTA after watching XMEN 97 and i am having so much fun so far.

Learning mvc2 has made me appreciate the high level play of the game even more. The stuff you have to do is pretty hard but very learnable you definitely can't learn that game over night like some modern fgs

Had MvC2 on my 360 back in the day, and that's definitely all I needed for this collection. I'm going to check those other games out, but man is it hard to boot this game up and not just default pick MvC2. Goat video game.

This collection is sick even though I’m still learning the games! I’ve had the most fun playing MVC2 with my friend Rob! I hope they can patch the Juggernaut glitch back in & touch up a few other things because it’s weird to nerf a character like Juggernaut who isn’t top tier & with more polish this collection could be even sweeter. i played mvc2 so much on 360 when i was younger but i didnt have a fighting game brain that i have now, so its been so much fun to play again with actual fighting game literacy

MvC1 on PS1 was the first first fighting game I ever owned, so it's really cool that this is now available with QoL updates.

It's really weird since they let you select either the English or Japanese versions of Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter This also includes the omission of Norimaro if you run the English rom so they totally could've let you do a version select for XMen vs Street Fighter but they just didn't do it for some reason

I wasn't expecting The Punisher to be as awesome as it ended up being. Now I want to try doing a RU-vid playthrough of it

Gotta look at the website for collection 2. A lot of those questions at the end are answered on the website, for example there is going to be version selection for CvS2, both EO and Roll cancelling versions.

Been trying to resist the urge to consooom but damn I wanna mash on some of those pre-MvC Marvel titles.

I sincerely hope that once the player numbers on this collection die down, the people who still want to play but can't find any matches migrate over to fightcade where the lobby system let's you find matches a lot easier instead of completely dropping the game. Because like Theory Fighter said, the best thing about the way fightcade is set up is that it naturally leads you to check out other games that are available but you never thought to check out before, cause they're all just one click away. It's a net gain for everybody. And Flycast and Fightcade as a whole will only improve with time.

want this collection bad, but gonna wait for sale, i have no intention of playing online lol respect to those that can hang tho. Only gripe is i wish they would rework arcade stadium, then add collections as it goes, keeping it together instead of so many different collections.

The marvle collection made me finally download fightcade. Was happy and waiting to play some marvel 2 and matchmaking bummed me out

Local versus is rough. I just ended up using a quick save at character select.

I mean. The juggernaut glitch is exactly that a glitch. Magnito/storm r meant to be as fast as they r, they r meant to fly. Y change them when they are intended to be that fast and tri jump, jug had an unintended glitch, so it had to b fixed.

only care about mvc2.. its decent.. but it should be better and it honestly feels like interns made this package the issues that it launched with matchmaking arent a huge deal. but its been a week and no patch thats a big deal most companies will patch that day 1
