I was a teen back then, so no clubbing yet. But Blockbuster on the weekends, boombox, Ponderosa & Sizzler, Chuck E Cheese, watch tv shows like Airwolf, Knight Rider, A Team. Drank out of the hot garden hose. No worries about getting kidnap or anything. Scratch n sniff stickers.

This song reminds me so much of my mother, who unfortunately passed away 7 years ago. I remember living in California and us running after the ice cream man He never stopped I had a small radio with me and this song was playing. Every time it came on, my mother and I would laugh and remember running after the ice cream man. Brings back such good memories!

Whenever this song comes on the radio and im in the car, i blast it full volume and jam the fuck out like nobody's watching. Then when i come to a red light i realize im looking like a giant jackass, a 6'6 black man singing to an 80's electronic rock song. The black guy's a GREAT dancer (in another clip, also Earth, Wind and Fire) but a horrifically bad singer :) I do like that it's not Auto-tuned, tho. It makes it real. I sing professionally, and I like the off-key one better than I would the fake one. :) besides, black guy's are ALWAYS cool! Look at the Gap Band. They play so well, no one noticed they'd look insane if they were white :) ! And being told your music/voice "sounds like a black musician" is a huge compliment.
