Deon brown. As a 55 year raiders fan, I want to thank you for the great things you said about the raiders organization, and history. I'm also aware of the the Packers great history, especially winning the first 2 Superbowls. Wow there will never be another Vince Lombardi. There will never be another Al Davis.
My mom was a huge Raiders fan, growing up she made me watch games and wear gear. I hated it and I chose the Packers just to piss her off. She was so mad I loved it. But I lost my mom recently and now I catch myself watching this, it’s true what Al Davis said once a Raider always a Raider. Now I’m going to carry on my mom’s legacy.
- some things make since My mom raised me to be catholic and my dad raised us to be united states marines! semper fidelis always faithful! I grew up with the raiders and there mantra is no different than the catholic church or the marine corps!
He has a record better than most as a coach he has 4 rings 1 w/ kc three with da raiders and took the Seahawks to their 1st playoffs he'll b there but he kneeds no trophies
My godfather was Mickey Marvin. He played on a those super bowl teams as the starting right guard in the 70s and 80s. He always talked about how Al changed the game and how he would take care of his people. Mickey was cut in his 11th year and Davis made him a scout for the rest of his life. RIP Al and Mickey
My buddy saw Mickey in a barbecue place called Jim and Milts in Tallahassee Florida. He looked over and saw this big guy wearing a Super Bowl ring… He said sir I’m sorry to bother you but I couldn’t help but notice your ring. He said I was on the Raiders and that’s my ring for winning the Superbowl. I’m Mickey Marvin. I’m from Oakland but I’ve lived in Florida a long time.. I remember watching Mickey play, great offensive lines.
From a Bronco fan, Al Davis is one of my favorite NFL people for the stand he took on racial matters. He did everything in his power to make the American Football League succeed and did NOT want a merger. Those Raider teams of the late 60's-70's were the most feared. He took care of his people.

Le Bourreau The situation is comprehensible but obviously situations can change especially that they r back playing in the original birthplace L.A. and here to stay 20 + years... Raiders r not even California no more lmao 🤣 enjoy the Nevada desert lol
Yup he is The Raiders to me even well after his passing. He was a great football man won more games then anyone from part of the 60’s through the mid to late 80’s. He always was able to get the veterans who had been tossed out by everyone else & got them to perform well Jim Plunkett for example.

Robert West is correct. I am in the Los Angeles area and a fan of the Rams. I think our coach, Sean McVay is the youngest coach in the NFL right now. Several playoff appearances and one Super Bowl appearance under his belt, NFC West champion a few times. He is definitely A good one. Super Bowl 2022 at Sofi stadium. Let’s have back to back Super Bowl home stadium winners this year!
Visiting this video the day after the RAIDERS made the playoffs. They beat the Chargers in OT, I’m gonna come back to this video whenever we make the playoffs again 💯 RIP Al Davis & John Madden 🏴☠️
The best 'A Football Life' of them all. There will never be another like Al Davis. A truly remarkable man. Here's hoping in the near future the Raiders can get back to what he envisaged them to be. Just win baby.

I've been a die hard Steelers fan since 1975 but I always had immense respect for the Raiders. Those two teams were the most intimidating franchises of the 70s.
GO L.A RAMS Enjoy your lamb chop. No rings for you guys any time soon, that's for sure. You guys will need to go grocery shopping again before you find another decent QB that can get you back to the SB.
Love or hate, there is nobody who has done more for professional football and for making it what it is today than Al Davis. He led the Raiders for 50 years. I have great memories of many sunny winter days at the Coliseum drinking beer and watching the Raiders win. Simply the best.
People always wana talk smack on a dying man last couple years because he was sick but look at what Davis did in the 60's,70's,80's with th3 raiders Madden and flores led the raiders to countless winning seasons
They hate just to hate compa. Oakland 2 LA and back. We been a factor in the NFL. We will have our day again soon. And now we got chucky back, we righting all the wrongs and bringing it back.
As a fan of a charter member of the NFL, there was only ONE Al Davis! A courageous pioneer and visionary whose contributions to our great game will never be forgotten, JUST WIN BABY!
My favorite quote from Al Davis " we take what we want " 😂😂 most people take what the defense gives them, bleep that, we are going to take what we want, great inspiration RIP Champ
Every time Al Davis said: Just Win Baby! You knew exactly what he meant. And each time, the Raiders took him at his word. There will NEVER be another Al Davis. ⚫⚪⚫
Born and bred South Philly girl. Season ticket holder 30 years and I bleed green. The Birds are my life. I look at the Raiders like the only thing even close to us in all sports to us when it comes to living and breathing football all day every day. Al Davis RIP.
I miss Al Davis. The current Raiders team could use his will and confidence. Al Davis and Sid Gillman will always be my favorites. I think Al’s only big mistake was trading Jon Gruden to a likely NFC Super Bowl opponent. Bad bad idea. I didn’t like the Marcus Allen situation either, but I believe there’s more to that situation than anyone knows and Al may have taken that story to the grave.

I'm a diehard RAIDERS fan, 55yrs, and we're finally getting back to the RAIDER WAY of old, Coach Pierce is perfect, natural born RAIDER, just like Madden
Al Davis broke barriers, hired first black coach, first hispanic coach, a woman in the front office. He drafted the only punter in the hall of fame in the first round. Ray Guy. Rest In Peace Al Davis
@@mafia_dave32Or without AL davis. Who knows if pro football would have survived if he didn't create caos with the NFL and AFL, and force them to merge when he was commissioner of the AFL.
Thank you! 2002 should have been ours if Al Davis wasn't so greedy for draft picks and $8 million that he had to trade Gruden away to a likely Super Bowl opponent and that's what he gets! 2016 was almost ours if Carr didn't get injured! I may not like the 49ers on certain occasions, but I have mutual respect because I also respect Joe Montana and Jerry Rice.

I became a raiders fan cus of Al Davis I'm from new York so was he both from Brooklyn I admire how much of a winner he was well we just made playoffs for Al Davis n madden
Pete Rozelle would have met his match in Al Davis as the Commissioner of the American Football League. Al didn’t want a merger, he wanted victory. He wanted two separate leagues, like baseball.
Even in the bad years you knew his heart and soul and sweat was dedicated to that team as an owner. Things that worked so well from '67-85 no longer did as much after. Bill Walsh changed the game. Marino and Elway were the great gun-slingers that Davis would have done anything to have had, but it was Montana who won rings. Elway didn't get his until a HOF running back showed up. I wondered what would have happened if he had gone to a West Cost offence mindset, and changing the motto to "Taking what we want, 10-15 yards at a time."
If Al Davis were alive this season, when the LEague came to the Raiders and said " Your coach that you chased for 6 years and paid 100$ Million hurt someone's feelings in an EMAIL 10 years ago and we want you to fire him," he would've given the League the double-middle-finger and said "Or else what....? Too bad Al's son doesn't have 1/10th the balls his Dad did.
Al Davis worked hard and succeeded in every facet of Pro Football. Yes the last 8 years of his career was dreadful, but he had 40 years of success before that! The Raiders won more games than any other team from 1970-2000
I grew up watching the raiders in the early 2000s and they had a nice run from 2002 to 2004.nice run with Rich Gannon but after the Gannon years we we really sucked for a long time and couldn't keep a ab at one point.but felt his heart for the team.rip to the og🙏💯
As a 49ers fan, I had always looked at the Raiders (mostly when they where in Oakland) as the rebellious badass rival team, I hated them but I respected them. I wish I can say the same way now, sadly both teams are a dumpster fire.
Al Davis was a genius in the 70’s, and early 80’s. He was way past his prime once the 90’s came. I don’t like how he treated Marcus Allen, he should have never got rid of Gruden and he should have taken Calvin Johnson of Jamarcus Russell.
@Harry Engel some say the downfall started when Tom Flores left, or Jim Plunkett retired, or the fallout, feud between Al Davis and Marcus Allen, that was another turning point as well. Also, when Ron Wolf left, that was another turning point.
Holy crap I've been a raider fan since their time in my hometown in los angeles but damn.. this dude is a legend.. especially after that Bradshaw story. I wish we had this type of leadership now.

I'm a Seahawks fan through and through, and even though we used to be division rivals, the Raiders are my favorite AFC team and probably my second favorite team overall. I hope someday we'll get a Seahawks/Raiders Superbowl, especially with Carol and Gruden as the head coaches. That would be a hell of a game.
I'm a Steeler fan, but always loved ol' AL Davis. It is rumored he put in the word to Chuck Noll to start Bradshaw, and the rest is history. When I think of AL and his raiders, I think of villains, do anything to win. The villain always sells more tickets than the heroes.
Lol. Yes chuck noll, obviously took his advice and your steelers beat us in the AFC championship game in 1974 and 1975. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's ever been a rivalry like the steelers and raiders of the 70's, even though the steelers came out on top in most of those games, especially the playoffs. The steelers had Bradshaw, Franco Harris, rocky blier, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth. The raiders had ken Stabler, mark van Eagan, Clarence Davis, cliff branch and Fred bilitnekoff.
