This is my first foray into the Too Fat Lardies' classic Napoleonic skirmish game: Sharp Practice 2. It is very much a smally learning campaign featuring British and French forces in the Peninsula.
Plenty of mistakes along the way, but they will be ironed out as I go.

It turned into a much closer game than I thought it would when the Rifles got the drop on the Voltigeurs from the churchyard at the start! Good show.

Always good to see some SP. On four cards bonus it alway good to activate the main big man cos he can bellow at any other groups or formations in his bellow range ;)

11:00 Skirmishers only get bonuses at effective or long range (table 10, p45) so it should have been 3's. Only affected one dice. 13:30 ish, under sharp practice a group or formation can fire using it (P85)

Yes, I pinged the skirmish issue in my second game. I didn't appreciate the difference between 95th Rifles (Light Infantry) and Voltigeur skirmishers.

I like this game, though the rules (and well-documented rules errors) seemed to really favor the British forces. Well, every story comes with an inherent bias I suppose!

It may be because I've skewed the points in favour of the British slightly? My aim for this campaign is to have some fun while trying out as many different rules as I can.

Ordinary French line infantry is underpriced in the rules, compensating somewhat for the pro-British bias. But of course the French don’t have riflemen, who - when used carefully - can skew small games in favour of the Brits.
