This weekend, while relaxing in front of the aquarium, I wanted to make a video for you. I usually spend hours on my rocking chair, watching the tank accompanied by blues or reggae music.

Today I put the first 17 fish into my planted aquarium with the same specs as yours (no filter, no ferts, no CO2, no water changes) and I am so happy to start this new chapter. Your channel was a true inspiration and gave me the confidence to give it a go. I sincerely thank you for that.

Şu kadar litreye şu kadar balık koyulmalı dersem çok yanlış olur. Bu konu akvaryumun nasıl kurulduğuyla ve balık cinsiyle değişkenlik gösterir. Blues arka planda çalan şarkının adı, o sebeple yazdım.

Thank you very much. While I didn't follow all the steps of the Walstad method when setting up this tank, you could say it is fundamentally based on that approach. However, it would be incorrect to say it's entirely a Walstad method tank.

Hey man, out of curiosity. I also have a non filter tank, about 200L way smaller than yours, don't you worry about the biofilm that is forming on the water surface? Don't it prevent some gas exchange? I mean, we hear it very often, and I also don't have much surface agitation, and Im worried that I can have biofilm (protein film) on my water surface. What are your thoughts on this?

You need to reduce your feeding. Non filter aquairum must not focus on the fish. So reduce the amount of fish (depending on tank size) or feed once a day or once every 2 days...make sure they're full they will be more healthy. Add more plants especially the one grow outside the aquairum.

To prevent biofilm, you can feed less and ensure surface movement. You can also manually remove it with a paper towel, but it will form again after a few days. Shrimp and snails can feed on biofilm. A not very dense biofilm on the water's surface is harmless.

Bence gayet kolay 35 litrelik akvaryumumda bitkiler o kadar çok buyuyorlardı ki budamaktan yoruluyordum ve şimdi 480 litrelik bir tank kurdum alt tabakaya lav taşlariniň kırıklarını üzerine hagen kum ve bitkileri yerleştiriyorum . Şimdi hedefim tamamen doğal bir ekosistem oluşturmak bakalım başarabilecek miyim?

@@pushkatu it depends on the plants you are growing. Not every plant will grow healthy without CO2 injection. Anubias, crypts, buces,, amazon swords, rotalas and more wont need CO2. I wasnt able to grow pinnatifida without good flow and enough CO2 and this plant shouldnt be that hard to grow
