Oh I enjoyed seeing where you take the dogs for a walk as your parent's garden is so beautiful!! The rainbow coloured spider web was amazing too. The new picture book illustrations look super cute.
This was extemely enjoyable and I find I do my best work while watercoloring if I watch a favorite movie or television series. Like LOTR or Fringe on television! Love it and find it so stimulating to think about.
I really enjoy these sort of "slice of life" videos. I often struggle to find balance between work and rest, and it is so necessary for mental health. Great video, thank you very much!
The dogs are so cute. I enjoyed this video the most from your recent videos. Though they were fully info packed and I got to know so many things, but I enjoy these kind of videos of yours a lot. A sense of calmness is there and Dan's editing skills are the best. You must have shot at different angles, etc. but he seamlessly puts them together...calming music, the way the video is structured. Amazing work. Thank you Mimi and Dan for such a wonderful video...PS: I love your dogs!
Mimi, your new picture book with worms looks stunning! I really love how beautifully you illustrate all your picture books! It was really nice to see a bit of your current workflow, I always look forward to your videos 🥰
I dunno the details of your analytics but I love these kind of behind the scenes videos! And the dogs are amazing. They look so zenned out. That's so amazing to have kind of a "home base" that you can go back to as well.
It was lovely watching a day in your life, I definitely need to follow your advice on taking more frequent breaks. I keep forgetting and then I wonder why I feel so tired and stiff 😒
I loved this video. I enjoy all the content you provide when it comes to information for artists but this is a nice in between to see who you are as a person moreso. Really enjoyed watching. And also, your parents house, dogs and property are GORGEOUS and i wish i could visit them haha 😂
I listened to the podcast you listen to in this video just yesterday and I started listening to it because of you 😂 You shared a shot of you listening to Shameless in a video about a year ago and since I was searching for new podcasts to listen to at that time I looked it up and I've been listening to it ever since, so thanks 😄 This video was lovely to watch. The landscape and the garden look amazing! 🌺🌿 Enjoy your time until you come back to Europe. Greetings from Germany 🤗
Thnx for your videos MiMi 😊 they help keep me motivated and gives me hope that it is possible to make a living doing what you love 💕. Hugs from Canada 🇨🇦 where summer is approaching and the weather is gorgeous and in the mid 20’s (Celsius) at the moment where I live. Go a couple of hours north and you might hit snow still 😅
Katnipp is truly one of the most enjoyable individuals (art business and making wise) that I watch and I adore who she is, what she does, and how she goes about it. :D I also adore Mimimoo and what it is that you do for yourself and how you're living the life that you wish to do while doing your art in tow! It really is a lot of beautiful things going on. :D
Thank you for making such wonderful and calming videos. I'm currently working on my own youtube channel, trying to document the process of what it's like for someone in their late 30's to enter the art world. Sometimes, I feel anxiety before filming, because I let my "what ifs" take over - what if the thing I'm making ends up not being any good? What if the footage I get isn't aesthetic enough? What if my storyline feels disjointed? What if I can't find the words to get across my message? And then I end up feeling burnt out before I start. I find your videos inspiring because you seem to just relax and accept. Maybe that calming feeling is just part of your branding, and you feel the same way as I do sometimes too, but either way, I find that watching you helps me get into the right headspace, and that's invaluable for me, as an anxious person. How did you end up finding your peace and balance in being creative but also making it cohesive and "presentable" for content? And yes, I would LOVE to visit Australia. Honestly, it's 90% for the cockatoos. hahaha. I'm a huge bird lover and I just cannot get enough of their funny little chaotic personalities. My dream is to go see them in the wild. A little silly to travel across the globe from Canada just to look at birds, I know, but it definitely is a bucket list item for me. lol! Do you have them in your part of Australia? If you do, I would be the happiest viewer if you ever showed some in one of your videos. 😭💖 Anyway, thank you for what you do. I (like many thousands of others, I'm sure) appreciate you. :)
I’m in my early 40’s and also just started my art journey, hoping to make it into a business with room to just be me and raise my kids. I’ve been on RU-vid for 4 years but started with a different niche. When I decided to do mainly art I was about 2 years in. Still trying to get monetized, but have learnt much on RU-vid regarding RU-vid but mostly focussed on improving my painting skills. Anyway, I wish you amazing art and RU-vid journey 😊🌸💪🏻
@@mimisart I also started out with a different type of content, but I eventually got burnt out and disinterested in it. It was sad because it was pretty soon after getting monetized on that channel. My new content is in a completely different sphere so I decided to just start from scratch rather than surprise all my old viewers with a totally new theme. I feel like I did learn a lot just by making that first channel though. I hope you'll be able to hang in there and reach your goals! 💝
Just watched a video on your channel and it was so lovely! I'm generally quite an anxious and introverted person so it's taken me a while to get comfortable making videos, I have some firm boundaries and rules with my content but outside of that I've learned to just do what I can in the simplest way I can do it. We do have cockatoos! They are beautiful but screech like dinosaurs, I'll try to capture them on video. Sometimes they come and pick a whole passionfruit from the vine, crack it open and sit on the fence drinking the juice 😂
@@MimimooIllustration How lucky you are to enjoy the symphony of googley-eyed dinosaurs each day. What a life. :') And yeah, doing what you can in the simplest way sounds like a really good method. I tend to overcomplicate things in my mind before I even start, which is such a tough habit and something I'd like to work on. I'm really trying to train my mind to accept doing ~something~, if imperfectly, instead of doing nothing at all.
Hi I went to your Etsy shop and wow it’s Beautiful. I wanted to buy your pen pack but realised you have three. What pack would you use the most? I had downloaded the free three from your website and loved them. Thanks
This video was so calming, like all of your other videos, Mimi! Watching your videos truly puts me in a good headspace and nudges me to continue on my art journey. Thank you for welcoming us into your routine with such warmth and insight. Lots of love from India. 🌻
Always love your videos. I have never heard anyone else say, "I'm a delicate flower" besides my ex who gave the quote and myself. Where did you pick it up from? He picked it up years and years ago, 80's? 90's? from a then famous comedian doing a bit.
This was a lovely video ☺️ Can you please make a video on what you post/schedule in a day across platforms (for may be a week) Newbies like us just get overwhelmed with what to post when and in which platform. Having a weely guide to refer would be nice 😊
Such a beautiful and inspiring video, Mimi! Thank you for sharing your creative day with us 🥰🧡 May I ask how much time do you spend at IG during the day? Do you go there several times a day or only once when you post? 🥰🧡
Hi Mimi. A lovely video thank you. I’m in SE Qld too. Such a beautiful part of the world. Your illustrations are so beautiful. Your picture book illustrations take me back to childhood memories. I’m sure they bring so much joy to many young readers around the world. Congratulations on your success. Xx
Hello from Brazil! I love your channel and the way you approach your content! I'm an introverted person too, and it's really cool to see how you overcome those social hurdles and produce such charming videos and artwork!
