Interested moving back to Ashland I have a pedicab business looking for apartment using my hud vash. Love to give people around Ashand Live in Juneau, AK, Tired so much rain.
Not really anything of substance. I can only remember feeling a very minor shake probably 20+ years ago. There are some off the coast, but we don't really feel them over here.
Every 200-300 years, the GIGANTIC "Cascadia tectonic subduction zone" DOES produce a HUGE (9+ Richter Scale) earthquake. And the Pacific Northwest is likely "overdue" for the next giant one. Southern Oregon would NOT receive Tsunamis (unlike the 100-foot tall ones possible on the coastline), but WOULD have major disruptions due to collapsed highway bridges, broken water, gas and electric lines and likely the MAIN (and only) ROAD out of here -- I5- would sustain major damage. "Unlikely" -- but to say there are "no Earthquakes" here is geologically incorrect. And "some off the coast" is a laughable understatement!
How is that tiny town with no real industry (besides tourism and a university) so damn expensive!? I went to middle school there in the 80’s and loved it, my grandparents retired there, would love to come back, but damn, who’s driving up these prices? I’m guessing the useless remote working tech wieners that are ruining the rest of the country.
It's just all supply and demand. Lots of people are retiring to areas like Ashland, which is a bargain compare to the Bay Area, Southern California, Seattle, Portland, etc.
