Its very hard to upgrade these I saw a few youtubers that could not do it it just burned the electronics and they gave up. Are you go going to make videos ?
This one is in very nice shape! I don't have an Edge Hovercraft, but i do have 7 Typhoons. The motors are 370s so upgrading those will be very easy, just a matter of finding one that'll spin faster and not pull too much current. They do go surprisingly well on beach sand, especially if there is a nice big area of wet sand with a gentle slope almost flat into the shallow water. That amount of extra front weight will certainly cause it to dive, the water flows up over the front of the skirt which starts to push it down.
OMG I miss mine, I had one in my younger days and it was the best! I am truly amazed nobody has made a newer version, especially with the advance of lithium batteries and electric motors.
I have one of these, in the blue. I really need to modernize it with some fpv hardware. I figure modern brushless DC motors it will get the skirt to inflate a bit better. Plus I need to replace the skirt, I think mixing together some 3d printing for the inner and outer beads and some latex sheet for the bulk of the skirt would work.
Thanks for the informative video! I have the same Hovercraft but the boot does not inflate, or maybe just partly inflates. Do you know why this is? I bought it new so nobody tampered with it before.
@@HappyDude1 Great! Anyway, I got my transmitter to work properly. There was a solder bridge on the circuit board that opened up and now there are no control issues!
