As a person who doesn't like fun (crashing) i found the arcade physics of flat out 2 really fun, even without the collisions, mostly because i can feel the weight of the vehicles, and the sensation of being in a rally with ton of obstacles to avoid. Nitro is mostly a way to compesate the time that you lose on crashing. If you drive normally with jumps, you normally get enough speed for most events. And as clean driver i also choose as rival Sofia Martinez.
One thing he forgot to mention about frank is that his driving may be brain damaged in the higher classes, but in the stunt events, he ALWAYS gsts 1st place against the other A.I.s 3:24 also, this might just be more "narrative building", but the description for the mall derby literally states you rented the place out for this derby
Ultimate carnage imo lacks characters. i love how ray carter goes fast only when his wheel falls off, how walker is either the last place or the first place, he is the only AI ive seen to loose demolition derby by running out of time, Sofia martinez yeah, she is boring, she drives fast and avoids collisions, but she isnt a good driver, while benton is slower, he is more competent as sometimes he counters pit manouvers etc. The best moment of frankie ive seen is driving near forested area, suddenly deciding to commit hate crime and just side slamming a dude and they both flying off in the forest to hunt bigfoot.
I am FIRMLY in the Sofia Martinez hate club. She has the biggest rubber banding issues imo, and combined with her not crashing, she can be unbearable. Imagine how I felt when driving a maxed out Venom, I see that grey arrow catching up on the straights? That piece of shit Chili just freight trained me like a god damn Honda with a laptop for a passenger!
don't forget her miraculous recovery from every fucking pit manoeuvre and spin-out attempt you pull on her - ultimately tho it's funny that SHE, the most sane person in the whole game, is the most unbearable opponent, when you have people like katie who should probably be under house arrest. (good thing they did her dirty with her car selection in 2/3 classes)
I first played a pirate version to ps2 here in Brazil, when i was 8, now im 20 too, 5 years ago i emulated a PSP version on my old crap phone (20-30 fps, 480p at that time), and now i have it installed on my PC with UC.

Trail out rules. So many races where you’re just like wtf because 2 racers are doing summersaults overtop your car as your neck to neck with a third and propane tanks are exploding everywhere and a tomahawk missile is heading straight toward the group
