Hello from Washington DC. Sister, tell the man that my dad from Montego Bay, Jamaican, my Mom also from the same town he just mentioned AKYEM SWEDRU, AWISA, my mom's dad name THE LATE OSOFO NANA OSEI, I was brought to Ghana at the age of 9. I went to school at ODA, HECTOR junior high and ODASCO SENIOR HIGH SECONDARY School. Thank you so much for sharing
😍 ONE LOVE , hi from Ghana to my people in Antigua , we say thank you to beautiful love and peace people of Antigua for taking good care of Ghanaians in Antigua , I will love to visit beautiful Antigua one day , Ghana loving Antigua 🤩😍🤩😍
This was a beautiful interview. Sam is my good friend and a really great guy. I agree, he can be a link that helps to connect Antiguans to Ghana and Vice Versa. Most Antiguans are descendants of Ghanaians.
Really enjoyed watching this. Its rear hearing people from Africa living in the Caribbean. This is just the beginning. Africa and the Caribbean are one! Thank you Samuel and thank you Alyssa. ❤👍🏾
Very true, it is simply because lots of us do not know how to go about it. I was once told one will have to transit through America before entering the Caribbean. And with no direct flights linking Africa to the Caribbean ,coupled with the difficulty in getting an American visa Africans find it very difficult to access the Caribbean .
@@frederickantwi9646 if you are travelling from Ghana I think the best route would be to fly to the UK and then to Antigua. Both flights are about 7 hours each. Antigua is a lovely place, I have been there several times.
Oh Wow!!! This is amazing! Ghanaians are everywhere 😂. Antiguans are so welcoming of each and everyone! No discrimination! Acceptance is the norm, no questions asked! Everyone welcome! No one gets left out! All inclusive! Hope all Ghanaians watch this and see the warm welcome! 🙏🏿 Global Gyal! Global Ambassador! Go girl 🎉🤩🌟!
No discrimination??? Lol! Everybody is welcome in America as well but that doesn't mean that there is no discrimination. Of course there is discrimination. The first thing I noticed when I went to the islands, as an African, is that light skinned people have socially better lives. That's systematic discrimination.
Hello...I am a Ghanaian living in Italy and i must confess I loved this short video. I have always wanted to visit the Carribbeans one day and I watch videos about those places anytime am on RU-vid. I was worried about not knowing any contact person there but now I would like to get the contact of this man as soon as possible to make arrangements for my visit. This vid has really made my day.
Beautiful beautiful story, however a BBC journalist wrote an article over 10 years ago speaking of Ghanaian, Nigerian, Ethiopian & (1 or 2) South Africans communities (some with Consulate services) living in Jamaica. Another beautiful beautiful Caribbeans island. Thanks and peace 🙏😏
Nice to know. Will go check out Antigua for opportunities to work in the telecom industry so I can come live with my long lost brothers. Lots of love from Accra Ghana.👍🏽🇬🇭
I know some of our ancestors were sent to the Caribbean islands but not known they still carry our culture over there. That is great. The lady might be either Ewe or Ga .
I enjoyed this video. I always said to myself parts of the Caribbean is like Africa outside of Africa all the way down to the food. The beach pics are beautiful!
It look like Antigua Tourist Board have a new Ambassador!!! It's so rare that we see this side of the connection! ! This was beautiful! Slowly slowly we shall find each other🖤🖤🖤 Ps. He need to go find the land of 365 Rivers next😆😆🤣🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲
This is some great inspiration. Its my dream to visit all the Caribbean nations too. Please ask him to share with us some tips on which flights and routes to take and what are the visa arrangements.
😂 I love it "the unofficial tourism boss" Unfortunately I won't be able to give out Samuel's personal contact information. But, I do hope you're able to visit and the island is small enough where you might just come across him by chance! Who knowsss. Enjoy your visit!
Samuel is very knowledgeable about Ghana. He didn't just know about his home region, but also other regions. I would have liked to hear more of his thoughts on Cuba. I believe Antigua and Barbuda are quite expensive and the market is small, so what sectors of the economy would appeal to the small -medium sized investor? Great interview, thank you to both of you.
Great interview and Samuel seems like an awesome guy. Funny you are wearing Amaya’s shirt. Have you heard she placed 3rd in the region for her performing arts exam? 🎊🎉
This is very refreshing to hear, I'm a Ghanaian living in Ghana and live in Accra too. Actually live around Korlebu area, play basketball in the medical school court. From the Aburi in the Eastern region. Tell how I can get a visa (if required) and how much it'll cost to visit Antigua and what are some of the opportunities available if want to settle in. I'd love to see your country.
A lot of Ghanaian would like to visit the Caribbeans; but all we hear is Europe and America. We definitely need to do a cross cultural exchange. Most of our enslave African ancestors were sent to the Caribbeans first before they were shipped up north to the Americas. Thanks for sharing.
@@ginsengbaby what??? Are you sure??? I am going to do a DNA test to find out where my are ancestors were from. But please where can I find the information you have on this? Thank you💯
Carribean leaders are not paying attention to Africa, that is why when our ppl travel on holidays its to Europe or de Americas... We need a change in Our Cariculum in regards to our future generation Been taught about Mother Africa, so we can change this paradigm that was created by the European... BIG UP USELF Samuel.
