I can understand those who are in against the project. First, we have to understand that what we need is what we need and have to arrange, it in this case electricity. Second, projects are not proposed randomly, there is team of highly qualified and knowledge people who proposes a project based on needs, it's implementation, cost and it's I'll effects. So it's the best decision government implements. Third, if we consider deforestation then consider CO2 emission from excess coal that we would have needed to fulfill the demand of electricity, it would have harmed environment more the flooding the areas. Fourth, hydroelectricity is one of the cleanest and most efficient form of electricity. Solar energy is good but it needs a huge area. That region is not suitable for such project as intensity of annual solar light is not feasible for such projects and we would have need to clear more forest. Fifth, according to policy of government of India government plants more trees and expand forest in other region eg: aravali , to compansate the losses made in such projects where clearing region is the essential and final option left. We are trying our best to keep our environmental resources safe and secure for future. 🌳🌳🌳🌳
