In her distinguished career as an animated musical cover artist, the great Elsie Lovelock has turned many a Disney song into a song about lesbians. But this is it. This is her magnum opus. We can all go home now. This is the greatest lesbian anthem I have ever heard. If we don't play this rendition at lesbian pride parades, we're not doing lesbian pride right.
@Flora Fauna I know this I would just say take it one step further and have unmanned vehicles I mean slowly but surely that's how it's happening I'm just thinking that if women were in charge they would do that from the start if they could make such devices before the year 2000
@@tylermech66 you have a point women can be conniving overzealous pricks no different than men half the time but there's certain things missing that would tip the balance and to be more peaceful then all out violence and I'm thinking of a world for this to actually exist where it's nothing but females and you have two groups docile females and aggressive females and if that's the case War can still happen if only for territory to expand prosper and reproduce I mostly got the idea from a Star Trek episode I can't remember which generation and it was a f****** mess trying to explain what was going on and how they were such an advanced civilization but there were so many contradictions while they were trying to explain and they went into great explicit detail but they were still having problems trying to balance out bad ass women there are also sweet and caring being somewhat docile with o women can do no wrong while they're still killing people or just being awful people to their own people and to those aboard the ship I'm truly believed in this was the one with captain Picard
@@emilyrose9854 humans have always hated each other for the slightest differences, i don't imagine any world with humans on it would develop peacefully, no matter their gender.
yep! I linked to Miranda's webcomic Muted in the description. She's an incredible artist who has also done artwork for many of my covers, and hopefully the ones in the future!
Loving it! I'm pretty impressed by how you managed to change certain words to have it fit with the lesbian thing without it hurting the flow of the song. I was really curious how you'd rewrite the line "My manly ways" and I'm not disappointed AT ALL. Wonderful job!
the actual question after listening to this is whether i want to be the girl worth fighting for or have a girl worth fighting for edit: or go greek style and have a girl worth fighting for fighting with me FOUR YEARS LATER EDIT: IM NOT A GIRL
This is fantastic!! Now all we need is for someone to do a cover where it is collectively, "Someone worth fighting for", but changes with the individuals, each line sung by a different person. Man singing about a woman. Woman about a woman. Man about a man. Woman about a man. Wo/man about "someone" for the pans and bis. The snarky side comments are said by an Aromantic-Asexual who is just loving their friends' shit.
I adore just how much expression you put into your lines. It doesn´t work always, but in more comedic songs like these it just makes it shine all the more, plus this being one of the songs that inspired me to becomne a gym rat back when i was fourteen just hits the nostalgia points. Also for making me actually start thinking about what kind of woman i would actually like to settle down with later in life... Then that sudden cut off just amde me feel the öuch¨of that scene yet again very keenly. Kudos to you elsie!
I feel like this displays not only your amazing voice, but your TREMENDOUS voice acting skills as well! Really awesome cover, the marching harmonies gave me serious chills.
Omg so not surprised at how utterly brilliant this song is in Elsie’s rendition! Lesbian/Gay theme is brilliant consider Pride Week has just passed! Elsie you should be hired by Disney Seriously!
Why is the one who only cares about her cooking so oddly wholesome?? Like the implication can be taken wrong but not caring about her appearance is somehow cute???? Help????????
Elsie, I love you for changing all these Disney songs into lesbian anthems, you are amazing and your voice is incredible. I have listened to your Evermore cover so many times, it's so sublime.
*LESBIAN SCREAMING* I LOVE THIS COVER SO MUCH I CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE this is so cute and you do all the voices so distinctly and wonderfully, it's really fun to listen to 😍
I really love how symbolic the end of the song is in the film, they sang about a girl who would give them a certain treatment, but they see the village I'm ruin with a doll and see what girl is REALLLY worth fighting for
For a long time we've been marching off to battle In our thundering herd We feel a lot like cattle Like the pounding beat Our aching feet aren't easy to ignore Hey, think of instead A girl worth fighting for Huh? That's what I said A girl worth fighting for I want her paler than the moon with eyes that shine like stars My girl will marvel at my strength, adore my battle scars I couldn't care less what she'll wear or what she looks like It all depends on what she cooks like Beef, pork, chicken Mmm Bet the local girls thought you were quite the charmer And I'll bet the ladies love a man in armor You can guess what we have missed the most Since we went off to war What do we want? A girl worth fighting for My girl will think I have no faults That I'm a major find How 'bout a girl who's got a brain Who always speaks her mind? Nah! My manly ways and turn of phrase are sure to thrill her He thinks he's such a lady killer I've a girl back home who's unlike any other Yet the only girl who'd love him is his mother But when we come home in victory they'll line up at the door What do we want? A girl worth fighting for Wish that I had A girl worth fighting for A girl worth fighting--
The way "a girl worth fighting for" ends because they find a girl worth fighting for. The little girl who died and her doll left behind is the girl they find worth fighting for.
Mad respect for not changing it into "A Guy/Man Worth Fighting For". As a person who doesn't really care of gender, I feel good to hear an army of girls singing about how they want girls worth fighting for.
i adore every part of this cover!!!! i also love how when u said 'thrill' u made it more elegant even though the original singer sang it more comedically. beautiful performance as always Elsie!!!
I clicked expecting parody with humorous objectification of men, BUT this was an awesome alternative, and I had to thumbs up for the insanely talented voice acting and hard work you put into this. Good job!
