Wow what a defead but you have a good plan. They are such a good team thats why it is not a shame to lose against!

Something I find odd is the way ppl use light infantry. Sure they're fine as fodder or to push towers and siege equipmemt, but I feel like there are other areas they can really shine and with their low armor, and hp they die really fast to missiles. They're fast, so they can be used to flank, or reinforce an area quickly since they also don't tire as quickly from running, and these areas can give them actual effectiveness. A great use I've found for them is to pad the line. If there is a large engagement where units start to blob but their is a weak spot, say one of your front line troops is getting low in number, light cheap infantry can be used to pad out the area, I also find they live a lot longer in these situations if you're trying to hold. Another example is in a blob again sometimes an enemy unit will have somewhat of a flank exposed, getting light units in to their side makes them fairly effective. I'm not the best player, but I find these tactics work well for me. I guess I just feel that ppl can get more out of their lights than they tend to.

I'm sorry Apollo but you guys fumbled the bag, IMO you should have attacked from the other side. you could've had a high ground to put your archers + you could push some towers next to them to protect them from enemy archers, I see you guys tried your best but again you could have done slightly better if you attacked from that side. I appreciate the effort you guys did and I support you all the way, and that's all.

Just do tighter formations with your hoplites. Of course they're getting shot at if you keep them extended farther then the meele fight needs them to

someone please tell apollo about sword side shots... you cannot make a lot of kills with archers shooting high armor infantry from the front or shield side

The difference in level was really noticeable in this game, the Gorillas Boiis are quite veterans and they make the defense look like something simple.

So the guy with the poor melee attack (pix) is attacking, flanking and engaging. And the guy with the heavy hitters is holding position.. You got your roles mixed up. Classic pix tho. You are kinda aggressive. Not impatient, just hungry for something to happen.

One little tip, stop thinking how you can counter their doings, but think about what they are doing

Spear formation troops are useless unless you play vs computer

Pretty sure the Getae "gatey" are pronounced "Get-Tie"

You are using your spearmen too agressivly, and you forgot to turn on guard formation. Guard formation is crucial for valuable infantry, keeps them from getting shot in the flanks so much.

Archers are weak in this game, so its better to not use them thats much, at least get 4 heavy cav unit, then find gaps in enemy lines and just chrage at them, in this battle also i can see many gaps in the enamy lines
