Jumpin' Jeosaphat! Holey moley! You weren't just tootin' your horn when you announced a western grail! Congrats my friend! I'm a big western fan, as you know, and I don't even dream to put one of these on my radar! I won't spoil it for the rest but HUZZAH! I love those early Trimpe Hulk! That Ka-Zar issue has been on my wish list for a while now. Big fan of those Gray Morrow horror anthology comics from Red Circle/Archie as well.
I was really lucky to get it and very happy . One of my all time favorite western comic covers for sure . So hard to find books like that at reasonable prices. Your right those early Hulk issues are so fun to read. Thank You for watching my friend.
Hello Mr. Jambo 👊 That haul, worthy of an epic western ballad. To the tune of (Ghost) Riders in the Sky ( Johnny Cash Version): Ol' Jambo went riding out One dark and windy day Upon a ridge he rested As he went along his way When he arrived at the lcs A bin of bronze did call Plowin' through the boxes And he liked what he saw Their blazers were still on fire And their prices were a deal Their covers were still shiny And their pristine pages he could feel A bolt of joy went through him As he was ready to buy Then branded his big boy card And he let out a victory cry Yippie-yi-o Yippie-yi-yay Ghost Rider # 3 is mine !!!!
I always thought that Incredible Hulk 148 was an homage of Frazettas famous funnies 211 it’s the same viewpoint and basic set up!! 🤷🏽♂️ also that straight arrow 22 in the background is a crazy cover I just picked one up myself… That Indian is about to scalp that little kid!!! 👀 👀 I didn’t really grasp what was going on with the cover until I held it in my hand crazy….Frazetta is hands down my favorite artist of all time.. just snagged me Buster crabbe 5 as well still need that ghost rider you showed and some of his Tim Holt work as well.. thanks Jambo
Oh my goodness, Buster Crabbe #5 is a awesome book . Congrats my friend . I have a few of the Frazetta western covers . He is awesome. Really appreciate you checking out the video.
Hello, Jambo. Very cool Hulk's & FF's, I wasn't a fan of Herbie either, I heard two reasons why Herbie replaced Torch, 1) Torch was going to get his own solo movie, so his character license & rights were not available. 2) Networks were worried about children trying to set themselves on fire in attempt to imitate Torch, Jambo I just thought you may want to know. Fantastic, Ghost Rider#3, cover, art & detail, I agree Frazetta is one of the best & greatest artists.
Thank You for the info sir couldn’t remember why the torch wasn’t in it . The western ghost rider is best in my opinion too. Thank You for watching Michael
yeah i'm not a western guy, but i would buy the Ghost Rider. You probably now this, incase you don't his first appearance was in Tim Holt#11, he was originally the Calico Kid.
I really like the Fantastic Four and Hulk comics you picked up. Ghost Rider in any condition is always a win for a collector, the western Ghost Rider in my opinion is my favorite compared with his flaming skull counterpart
I’ve been getting into the BRONZE AGE fantastic four and Incredible Hulk run again lately. In the western ghostrider is definitely my favorite. Thank you for taking the time to watch my friend I appreciate it
😊FF#133 Friend Jambo , Ginger Goodness with not only Thundra but peeping ..I mean peering into the lower window I behold the beauty I would Love to engage in a battle of the sexes with --🤗my #1 Marvel Heroine ( indeed an addictive chemical crimson construction) Medusahhhh!!! As a confirmed HULKaholic ( he and Namor being #1 favorites) those issues of The Incredible One indeed delight ones viewing. I still have my original spinner rack copies of issues --#109-- & 110 ; which I regard as Ka-Zar's best Silver Age guest appearance. Trimpe and Severin were already favorites and when they teamed up for The Incredible One's adventures , well let's just say I had a most enjoyable hangover! Now on to Frank , I 100% agree that Magazine Enterprises had top Western titles and Ghost Rider was top of the line and that cover is a branding iron on the brain with its sizzling styling! For me I favor Frank's work in comic strips and comic books above his more popular contributions to pop culture. Anne Francis 💥! For me --The Blonde-- that really was more than "just there to be good looking." What made her even more so , for me , was what a captivating actress she was! In every movie , from her earliest to her later ones , and TV show she appeared in her performances were standing ovations. There was a RU-vidr who asked viewers if they were casting a Fantastic Four movie in the 1960s who would they pick to play Reed and Sue? I immediately knew who I would have cast: Robert Culp and Anne Francis!
