Huge Silver Age Comic Collection at This Local Comic Book Yard Sale! 

Tony is one of my favorite people in the community. I see him at every single show and he is always a class act and never annoying. His books looked so beautiful, omg.

This is how you don't run a sale. Why would you not price anything, this is exactly the sale you would want to buy at ... Its hot out there, the owner of the books is becoming exhausted with all the questions and heat, easy to pounce.

Solid deal from seller. It was fair. It wasn’t a steal, he definitely fools you to think he’s scatterbrained, but he knows the value of all his books. No real keys, but solid silver age.

Pricing at checkout? Right there is the reason I no longer visit one LCS in my town. Though, It does seem Tony was willing to work with everyone, so I can admire that. I do hope you got some good deals.

He had great books no doubt about it. Whenever I come across books with no prices I would offer a low price for a bundle of desired books. That’s the best way. I will be willing to negotiate if the seller wants more but it would definitely be less than his asking price. Looks like a fun day btw! Glad you found the books you wanted.

He is socializing by having the prices this way, he can see what your into and chat you up and make the sale rather then awkward browzing.

I'm sure somebody else already told you but ASM #48 is the first appearance of Blackie Drago as the Vulture. That was a good pick up. I'm sure you guys got a good deal for your $500. The books looked nice. Nobody can really tell unless you're there in person looking at the books. Great video as always.

He said he doesn't like the pricing part of this but if he just pre-priced this would make his life much easier and definitely less stressful for the buyer. He can always just stick to the price he wants in the end. And you always wind up negotiating anyway. The books you picked up were all winners and for a good price.

I'm like mental when it comes to looking at all of those books. I find it near impossible to settle my mind on various books. And mostly I can't afford the prices of any of those books. So it all is very depressing. This is a sport for the monied people out there. The average person can afford very little in the way of old books.

Happy it worked out for you guys ! Likely some really good deals, though it's hard to say if not on site to see the actual books. I continue to be shocked at the prices for many of the silver age books, but, I'm jaded because I was buying in the 70's, 80's and 90's. I also really dislike going to places where the books aren't priced in advance. Also dislike Marketplace dealers who say "make an offer" and I just block them !

Nice deal. Some clean grades on those books. Love those house sales. We do some ourselves here in SoCal, mostly moderns though

Great video and I'm happy you both got some good looking run fillers. I'm irked that he didn't have pricing on the books (majority) and it looked problematic where everyone is trying to check out and end up going into a "back and forth" for pricing. Reverting to eBay pricing, I'm always having a guard up because we can simply shop on there if that's what they are going by.

Little bit of a headache for pricing, but worth it for the deals he was giving, knocking $100-200 off everyone's stack. He was wearing a Superman shirt but I only saw Marvel stuff, I guess you guys just didn't show us the DC stuff.

I think you did very well. I was worried as they were tallying a couple of the other buyers but I would guess your stack was a couple hundred bucks less than FMV. As you know, that gets magnified depending on the title and yours were mostly ASM so great deal you two!

The condition of all the comics looked really good. I'd definitely buy the two Daredevil Annuals, which don't turn up very often and rarely turn up together, Hulk #107 and Sub-Mariner #50. And yeah, Tony for sure knew what every comic was worth and what he'd paid for each one despite the easy-going cut-you-a-deal demeanour and the old-school notebook and pen. What was on the wall? I'd like to have seen those, especially if they were slabbed.

God if I had been close to that I would have spent $10,000 easily. Guy had some great stuff!

Great vid, he had some rea; nice silver age stuff...would have loved to have seen a panned shot on the slabs though, think you got a fair deal...those ASM in such nice condition are solid $100 books.

I think you got a fair deal... I'm not a fan of the non priced books either.... But it worked out this time.

Way to go Tony for pointing out the rarity of British price variants here, shame the market doesn’t view them as desirable enough to charge a premium. It seems the heat over Canadian price variants has cooled as well, at least the RU-vidrs don’t mention the price difference as much.

You really have to have knowledge of "current" prices on the spot to do these deals. Too crazy for me to do. They were some super quality books there though.

Looks like a solid buy for 500, if the books are around 7.0 or higher, although that is hard to see from here. Still, I would have checked them all there on grade and FMV and then offer him half. That is always a good starting point :) Nice vid again, always entertaining.

Great selection but so much stress having to find out prices at time of purchase. I like to know the ballpark of what my final purchase may cost me. The books you purchased were great and the price was decent.

They know what they're talking about... spiderman spiderman spiderman... but they may have slipped not knowing about namor, etc cause some characters are gonna stock people... FREE INFO, GO AFTER XMEN 1ST APPS WHILE THEYRE CHEAP

Unfortunately if this was me I would of passed on those books and the way this guy was pricing stuff and talking up his books and trying to tell people what grade they are a lot of back and forth with grades and pricing...I'm here to buy not bicker about pricing when it's not even listed.

Interesting about the UK "Pence" price variant- here in the UK the Pence issues are very much looked down on and considered undesirable. They were actually printed on the same presses as the American books, at the start of the run, in case there were problems.

How do you guys get the info on these yard sales and comic meetups in general?
