Despite this being a fever dream of Michael's being regarded as just a joke, it actually DOES work as a dream and as an analysis of Michael's character. 1. The Therapist turning into Michael Showing that it's ultimately him who can solely change his life. Freedlander's hands disappearing as he checks the time further showing that he's powerless to help Michael. 2. The montage after "And where did that get you Michael?" showing the various negative situations Michael brings upon himself. 3. The stormy weather outside whilst in therapy shows his growing, yet ignored unease with confronting his problems. 4. The statue of the fish, located in Dr. Freedlander's office has a constant view of the ocean, but looks away from it. it may look like a fish, belonging in the ocean, but as an inanimate object it could never swim, which is why it seems as though it's resenting it by looking away, the same way Michael deep down knows that despite looking like a normal person, being a life long thug he could never actually fit in with the normal world, which is why he keeps unknowingly sabotaging his life. This is then shown to us later when Michael is seen underwater, wherein the fish appear, but unlike the fish in the background swimming as intended, it sinks straight to the bottom. 5. There being multiple Michaels at several points, usually appearing and acting after one another shows his acknowledgement of the fact that he's just repeating everything to no avail., with him him trying to change his life, but ending up doing the exact same thing. 6. In the final scene, he takes off his shirt after "letting it all out", a metaphor for him believing that he'll become vulnerable and soft if he lets go of his past, shown by him literally showing his soft, vulnerable stomach after letting go of the stress and anxiety of his current circumstances.

You know the cutscene when you switch to Michael when he wakes up screaming? This is what he dreamed

this feels like a fever dream

He looks like he'd be a good GTA protagonist

This is not only an amazing shitpost, but it could be an incredible character analysis for Michael if that was the primary intent.
